Doggie likie and not growing fat lumps!
I got this brand because it was recommended by my sis dog’s vet. The doggie gets all kinds of fat lumps from the food he eats, and he recently had to have a very large one removed, so I suggested to my sis that it is better to buy more-expensive food than pay for surgery and have the dog suffer, so she agreed. The important thing is that he likes this food. We have a lot of trouble with food because he is a picky eater, so I have to try different brands and see if he will eat it. That’s how I picked the last brand that caused the big fat-lump. Ugh. So far, no lumps growing, so a great sign. I got the sensitive stomach cause he eats grass all the time, but it might be because of how he eats. (He eats breakfast and dinner at night on most days. : / ) I think he still wants to eat grass, so, not sure if that part works or is helping him, or if it is not the issue. Although, now his ALP level is rising and I’m not sure if this brand is the problem. This brand (different flavors) is all we are feeding him. I am testing that by changing the brand to another vet-recommended brand. So the jury is out on that part.Obviously, the price is the price. Cheaper is better, but what can you do? It is supposed to be higher in quality, so…The one thing that bugs me about this brand though, is that a lot of times, there are a lot of crumbs. Sometimes, a significant amount and if you were to toss it, well, that would be a few bucks in the trash, so I give it to the dog. He licks it up, so… Food is food, crumbs or no. lol You know that you would lick the crumbs of some delicious cake, so!

Purina pro plan sensitive salmon and rice works for our girl
When you have a dog with food sensitivities it can be hard to find food that works for them. This is our 2nd dog with food sensitivities. We learned before that Purina pro plan sensitive worked well with our other dog so we decided to try it with our current dog as well. Our dog loves this food. Her sore spots on her skin and ears cleared up within a week of switching her to this. We have found that the salmon and rice formula works well for her. Her coat is also much healthier looking.

I buy this over and over again. I think that my dogs enjoy it and digest it well. I showed it to my vet and he approved of it. It is for sensitive skin, but I don’t think it helps my one dog with her itchiness. It is expensive but it is worth it on the off chance that off it my dog might be itchier.

Cured the nasty farts
Great for dogs with allergies to chicken and/or rice. My boy Walter has crime against humanity gas on other food. Made my dad’s wife stand up a leave my house one day. I mean, mustard gas farts. This food has turned the dial from 11 to about 4, so huge improvement. Expensive, but your nose is worth it.

I use this food as an add on to my dogs normal food. I love that there are no chicken, corn , soy and other fill in useless food. My little ones have been on the small version as an add on to their food. Their coats are shiny and they look beautiful. So my big boy loves their add on and they was thrilled that he now had his own salmon food.

I have a Treewalker Coonhound that has allergies and I have a senior dog. Both of my dogs have different dietary needs and its hard to keep an eye on the dogs to make sure they arent dipping into each others dishes….so I have started them on this and its somethign both can eat. This proplan dry lamb and oatmeal kibble is loved by both of them, and their stomachs. Vet recommended this to me and I am so happy – also it was the best price vs my local pet stores!!

My dog isn’t really a fan of dry food, so he doesn’t really get excited to eat, and these were no exception. However, he does eventually eat and after a week, I’ve noticed some improvements with his skin issues, as a result of food sensitivity.Over the year, my dog has began to have itchiness on his paws when eating foods with chicken, and as a result, he’d lick his paws and they’ve eventually redden. After feeding him the Pro Plan, I’ve noticed that he stopped licking his paws as frequently, and they have started to return back to normal. Additionally, his coat feels much softer, smoother, and shinier than when he was on affordable Purina-brand alternatives.As a result, I think that this food line is good for him, and may be good for your dog. A little disclaimer though — I’ve heard that some dogs feel sick and puke after eating Pro Plan, so you should probably monitor your dog after feeding them to stay safe.
