Fresh Flakes is exactly what they say it is. Your chicks will love it.
WOW!!! When this package arrived my first thought was this is such a small package, but to my surprise it holds a lot inside. It’s my first time using this product, I love it and my chicks love it even more. This product absorbs moisture and my chicks love to scratch in it. It keeps the bad odor out. Easy clean up. I will be purchasing this product again. I definitely recommend. Try it, I’m sure you won’t regret it.

Keeps the coop smelling clean.
This bag looks small when it comes. But it’s not! It’s just compacted tightly. That makes it nice when cleaning the coop. There isn’t any odor and it is very absorbent. The hens really like it. Easy to clean up.

Just as described . No dust or any funky smell. Our chickens love it. We are first timers with a chicken coop. What we did see is how our chicks like to nestle in the fresh flakes. We have yet to finish the first bag but it looks like it will last a while until we have to restock. I would recommend if you are not sure. Don’t open the whole bag, it helps to open just a corner if for a small area.

Perfect for chickens and very dry as well. Works great and at a good price. Our chickens like it and works for pet bedding too. Absorbs moisture and provides cushion for eggs.

Get a little bit of everything.
I would say the majority of this bedding is uniform shavings. However, I would say about 5% is larger pieces of wood, woodchips, dust and I did find fine plastic. Not an insanely large issue, but worth mentioning to potential buyers that there is a very small issue with quality control. That being said, the price is right – can be shipped right to my door and for the most part, is what it says it is. I will still purchase in the future.

Good quality, a little expensive
It’s good quality and the flakes are pretty big. However, I found cheaper flakes at Walmart and Tractor supply co. My ducks pick at the smaller flakes but so far I haven’t noticed any health issues or digestive problems with them. Overall, I think they’re pretty safe and help keep smell down.
