After assembly, I started to like it..a lot
Very quiet, watching some YouTube videos will help you assemble it . ..I like the skimmer, it’s narrow enough not to take up a lot of space on the back of the tank Water flow can be adjusted and that’s what I likeIt is The function like mini canister filter and I can customize the media .. I think I have a good value for the money invested here

Recently switched two of my tanks to this filter and I love it!! Such an easy set up and love how easy it is to clean. Not loud at all and it looks better than having a cheap black filter or a canister filter with the long hose.

Superior new filter design ,with some small drawbacks.
The good and the bad. The good, this filter works really really well ! The bad, this filter works really really well !! Let me explain, the extra chamber that separates out the detritus works fantastic , its about time someone came up with a better design. Problem is, it works too well and the mesh will get clogged rather quickly, like a week . The little balls are a great idea but I dont think they really do much. The knob is quite difficult to turn, especially when up against a wall like most aquariums are. Problem solved with a couple small pieces of wood and some hot glue. Just give yourself about an inch lever and it works perfect. The final thing I can say is, I love this filter so much I bought a second one ! Not to use but to swap out . This way, I can just lift the media baskets out , I dont rinse mine and just set into the second filter. Put that one back on the tank, add some water and turn on. Done !! Now I can do a good thorough cleaning on the first one for my next swap out. Works great, gets deep cleaned while not disturbing the media. These are cheap enough, are pretty well built, work better than expected. My new favorite filter, will probably buy a few more just because .

Bought this as a back up filter, today I needed it and it refuses to run. Can not even get the motor to start up. And guess what? Amazon says it is to late to return it. Do not waste your money on this!

easy to use and quiet
perfect size for my 10gallon, its very quiet, easy to assemble (the directions kinda suck but you dont even need them if you have any common sense. I did load the baskets up differently than what hygger does, and threw in some established filter media so I wouldnt crash the tank. very compact for a canister style filter. priming is very simple, undo the black cap once the filter is mounted on the tank and fill with water slowly, as it closer to full you will need to give it a couple seconds for all the air in the system to excape, before you keep filling. its only been running a few days so hopefully it last a good while.

Nice filter just use a medium sponge in the bottom tray then the floss pad and stuff it full of seachem matrix it’s the perfect size for a 10 gallon tank if you use the spray bar

Fine Pump but missing piece
The pump itself works fine through the first week of owning it and is quiet. The water change feature is very handy, however the instructions are quite poor and it’s a convoluted installation process, though still doable in ~30 minutes with the video guide.Lastly, mine was missing a piece for the surface skimmer upon arrival, rendering it completely useless, and having a built in surface skimmer was a main reason for purchasing this. I’ve reached out to the manufacturer twice now with no response.

Buen funcionamiento, apariencia muy estética, super silencioso y da gran circulación de agua. Con algo de esfuerzo le hice caber 500 ml de Matrix como medio de filtración biológica. este filtro lo compre para un gambarío de 40 litros y va genial. Hygger es una excelente marca, no decepciona.

Muy buen filtro. El cilindro que captura impuresas grandes está de lujo, y para los cambios de água es muy práctico. Casi no se escucha. Mi pecera es de 30 litros y éste fitro le queda muy bien.
