Perfect 3 Gallon Tank Startup Kit
What a cool little tank!I’ve had aquariums for the better part of 30 years and have seen a lot of trends come and go. I decided to jump on the freshwater “planted tank” trend and start a small 3 gallon tank. I have a lot of equipment for tanks, but nothing that would be small and simple enough for a 3 gallon build. This comes with (almost) EVERYTHING you could ever need for a new tank build!If you’re looking for a solution where you don’t have to buy anything else (like some of the reviewers are complaining about) you really need a different hobby, not a different tank. Every fish will have different needs, and if you’re expecting to place a single order to get everything you could ever need for a fish you’re not going to have this thing long term.Overall if you’re looking to get the tank going (and you bought the 3 gallon kit, i bought mine as of 7/25) the only additional items you’ll need is a substrate (gravel is most common), some ornaments for the fish to hide (fake plants decorations, etc.) and a heater. A decent heater for this size tank is ~$10-$15, so it’s not much of an expense. You may consider ordering additional replacement filters as well as this only comes with one set. I plan to make my own filter solutions for this particular filter, but you do you!I will admit the instructions for the filter are not the best, but they should be self-explanatory enough to get you there. Some items like the siphon take a little bit of a learning curve to use properly, but the fact that they’re included in this is a huge bonus!The light is very cool and easy to use with 3 color settings (“blues”, warm white, and both blue/warm) and should be enough light for most standard “easy” live aquarium plants. It’s USB powered so be ready to have to have a solution to plug it into (I just used a little USB power brick I had laying around).Build quality of the tank is awesome! It could just be my tank, but I didn’t have any of the problems another reviewer was talking about with excess silicone and a leak. Ours is very clean and sleek without any issues.Finally, just as a general PSA (you can stop reading if you’re just looking for a product review) PLEASE be careful and conscious what you put in this tank as 3 gallons is very small (which may be surprising for those of us who grew up with the little fish bowls on our desks as kids). I placed a single betta in the tank which many could argue the tank is even a little small for. Do your research about your pet before you buy them. If you’re doing it for your kid and they “need” a fish, there no better lesson for them to learn about than preparing for a situation ahead of time, and doing the right thing to care for the animal. Buy this kit, set it up, let it “cycle” (you can Google “how to cycle” a fish tank) and put a fish in after it’s been established for a few weeks if you can. You can get away with doing it sooner, but it’s best for the fish to let the tank properly cycle before adding it. This prep alone is a good lesson in discipline, and will give you a really healthy and beautiful tank in the end.Have fun!

I needed to add a heater but otherwise was good to go with this set up. It arrived well packed and the filter is super quiet. Easy to set up and get going and seems to be the good size to maintain a good cycle and water parameters. Seems sturdy and looks nice.

This fish tank is sleek and great quality. I do wish it had something to secure the top a bit better because it just sits loose on top and my cats can easily move it. Other than that would buy again for sure.

Beautiful tank, amazing for me as a beginner!
I love this tank! There is no leakage, the filter is quiet, this is a huge upgrade for my beta fish who was using a 1.5 gal tank. After doing research I learned a beta will thrive in 5 gallons. I am SO happy with this tank. The only issues I had were the instruction manual for the filter was pictures only, so I had to decipher the pictures. The other thing is the top fits a little loosely. I’ve attached a picture of my tank (don’t judge, I’m very new to this!)

The perfect Beta fish tank
This tank is absolutely perfect in every way. I’m extremely happy with my purchase. I actually purchased another, I was so satisfied. Best size for my Beta fish. Filter is so quiet I don’t even hear it running. The lighting is my favorite as you can easily adjust it from dim to brighter and choose various color tones. If I could give it more stars, I would. Buy it ! You won’t be disappointed

Easy to maintain
I get so many complements on this set up, which currently houses a blue crawfish and a couple of small endlers who have survived the culling. I have to add, it’s loos so good because with sand, it’s super easy to maintain.

I wasn’t sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Was really well packaged and arrived in one piece. The tank has very clear and clean design, fairly easy to assemble and water flow is adjustable, surprised the pump is quiet. The light is a snap on and is adjustable for type of light and brightness. I was tired of buying topfin aquariums as their pumps were failing and was getting green algae but so far this one proves to be working well , overall I’m happy and so is my betta fish
