Trimming Tip
Hold the paw firmly while trimming the nails. Use a single stroke to cut off the top of the nail quickly.Sure the handle at the bottom of the file makes the nail smooth.Avoid cutting off too much at once. If your pet’s nails are long, trim a small amount and wait about a week to ten days before trimming again. Repeat this process every week or ten days until the nails reach the desired length.Cut perpendicular to the nail, avoiding extreme angles and staying away from the quick.

Solid clippers and the light makes all the difference in the world
These are very nice. I always hate putting my dogs nails because of accidentally cutting too far one time. So every time I cut I cringe hoping I don’t hurt my animal.The light on these clippers is fantastic. It’s really a game changer. I have dogs with light colored nails and darker gray nails and the light works great on them. I do not have dogs with black nails but I can definitely tell you these work great.The quality is excellent and they are very simple to use. The grip is very secure won’t slip at all. Overall these are great value for the money you pay for them. And if you’re not currently using a light and I’m sure your animal will love you for buying these.

I highly recommend this nail clipper for dogs. I was always trying to juggle a light while keeping the dog still and holding the paw/ nail.. my light would either blind me and/or fall down. This clipper made nail trimming so much better and the light is perfect it even worked for me on my dog with dark nails. Nail time is no longer a chore!

If you’re paranoid about cutting too closely, these will help!!! But there are a couple issues.
Pretty good, not fantastic. They are nice and sharp, clip my dog’s nails really well. The light is a HUGE help to see where I souls and shouldn’t cut. I’m terrified of hurting her so that light is a game changer! She has some dark nails that obviously are harder to see through even with the light but if you look closely, you can still get a good idea of what you’re doing. The white nails are easy peasy. That was the biggest selling point for me and my favorite feature! After only 5 uses the little button that holds the clippers closed when not in use fell off so now they have to go in the drawer open; that was a little annoying. The nail file is decent, but not very rough so it takes longer than it probably should to do some filing. Long enough that my dog gets really annoyed and doesn’t want to let me finish. But they are easy to use, easy to squeeze, and a good product. I have a bad wrist and even with that, squeezing the clippers isn’t difficult at all. Cleaning is a quick rinse. I haven’t used them enough to see if that will cause rust in the future though. The grip is also really nice and comfortable. The battery cover for the light comes off a little too easily for my taste and I worry that, down the road, that might start falling off too. If the button and file were better I’d give it a full 5 stars.

Lifesaver for My Dog!I can’t say enough good things about these nail clippers. My dog had a claw nail that the groomer missed, and it had started growing into his paw. He was limping and clearly uncomfortable. We ordered these clippers overnight, and I’m so glad we did.They were easy to use, helpful to have the LED light , super sharp, and cut cleanly with one quick trim. Within 24 hours, his paw was already looking better and he was walking normally again. These clippers literally saved us from a vet visit and helped my dog feel relief almost instantly.If you need reliable, no-nonsense clippers that get the job done safely, these are the ones. Highly recommend! 🐾

Sharp but light gets in way of the blades
These dog nail clippers have very sharp blades and comfortable, ergonomic handles, which makes them easy to hold and control. The cutting action itself is smooth and effective.Unfortunately, the design gets in its own way. The light-up component sits directly where you need to position the nail, making it awkward to line up properly—especially with thicker nails. The LED light isn’t bright enough to clearly see the quick, so it doesn’t add much safety value. The safety guard is also poorly placed, limiting visibility and precision rather than helping.Overall, they’re usable and well made in terms of sharpness and comfort, but the layout of the light and guard creates more frustration than benefit. With better placement and a brighter light, these could easily be a 4–5 star product.

Good clippers, work well, the light doesn’t help with black nails
These clippers cut thru my large dog’s thick talons nails. It comes with a light that I thought would let me see where to cut so I wouldn’t nip her quick and have it bleed. Apparently the light only works on very light or white nails, not on dark or black nails. It doesn’t shine thru, so doesn’t show the quick. Bummer. I had to take her to the vet for a mani-pedi after all.

Great for giant breeds
Giant dog approved! One never been able to make it through a full nail trim with my gray pyrenees, who hates his feet being messed with. I’ve gone through two other nail clippers, one that splintered his nails and the other couldn’t even fit his nails in the cutter. This one fit perfectly and was very sharp. Pyrenees nails are like concrete, but these clippers did the job in record time, and he wasn’t as upset with me as other nail trim attempts (see pics for size comparison of pyr nails and clipper). The light was super helpful for his white/clear nails but not so much the dark ones (it did help me see the average length of the quick though so it was helpful even for black nails). Very very good value for the money. I’m not sure how long they will last against his concrete nails but so far, amazing purchase. Felt good in the hands and there is a safety guard but I didn’t need to use it. You can also see it’s a cleaner cut in pic.

I use these on my chocolate lab and they work really well. They’re easy to handle and not difficult to press together when trimming, which makes the whole process feel much more controlled.The blades are nice and sharp and cut cleanly, and the safety guard is really helpful for making sure I don’t take too much off. That gives a bit of extra confidence, especially if you’re worried about overcutting.There is a light built in, which is a good idea, although with darker nails it doesn’t show the bloodline as clearly as it probably would on lighter nails. That said, it’s still a useful feature to have.Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase. It feels safe, sturdy and does the job well.

Excellent nail clipper!!! Especially for big dogs.I have an American bully XL and he hates going to the vet to get his nails cut. They’re also super long and thick so it’s pretty difficult to cut. I gave him some Peanut butter while clipping his nails and it was sooo smooth. Really happy. Thank you!
