Escaped the cage
Be very wary of this cage. First our hamster chewed a hole in the floor and then she escaped through the hole in the top. EDIT: She escaped again and we haven’t found her. DO NOT BUY THIS CAGE!!! You’re hamster will get out.

Works for a travel or transport cage.
Although this cage is too small for a hamster or mouse to live in full time, it is handy for a travel/transport cage or temporary housing while you’re cleaning their main habitat. Or even a temporary hospital cage, if they’re sick and need a separate dwelling for treatment. I’ve been keeping pet mice for years and always keep at least one small cage on hand for these reasons. I ended up using this as a one story cage rather than two story as intended. (As a one story cage, it can be good when they get very old; a small cage is helpful to have, as they can tire easily and need everything close by.)It was pretty easy to put together. I think all cages are a little fiddly putting together. A couple of the bar sections had broken bars, but since I wanted a one story anyway, I just used the good sections and had enough for the one story.The plastic is a bit thin and bends a little, but doesn’t seem overly fragile. Since I’m not using this as a full time cage, I wasn’t worried about a mouse chewing its way out. The wheel is small, so it only works for a small mouse or hamster. Some fancy mice get too big for a wheel this small. But again, just for temp housing, it’s okay. Everything is pretty easy to clean and is safe as far as there are no sharp edges.It has a clever design and some neat features, but again, only big enough for temporarily housing a critter.

It’s a nice size cage. Easy to build. However, The top flap doesn’t lock well. My hamsters kept on escaping.

Terrible
This cage looks like a great idea: cute and with levels for the animal to climb. I put my roborovksi (very small) hamster in there because it seemed to have more space than her existing cage. Unfortunately, the levels in this cage are not useable at all because they’re slippery plastic. As she was climbing around, she was slipping and sliding on the plastic and had a hard time of it. There’s also nowhere to put a food dish other than the one it comes with, which I found to be inadequate. The dish it comes with has to be hung on the cage bars, which makes it hard to access to refill and clean. For some reason they decided to put bumps all over the flat portions of the structures so nothing can sit there flat. Then they put almost no traction on the ramps where the animal has to climb up. So they slide down the ramp and there’s nothing fun for them at the top. She did not like the houses as they are probably too small. The running wheel is too small and she hardly used it at all. The tubes are the only good thing about this cage but that’s a moot point because the hamster isn’t interested in where they go. Perhaps the worst thing about this cage is it’s impossible to take apart to clean. Typically the tops of cages are removable so you can dump the soiled bedding and replace it. This one is a nightmare to access for cleaning or any other purpose. You have to pull it apart which results in another part breaking and you have to fix it. I put my hamster back in her old cage within a day and right away she was running around and having fun. I never saw her in this horrible cage, which is not a good sign. The only way I can use this thing is if I replace all that plastic with a home-built wooden structure. I can’t even give it away because I would feel bad subjecting another animal to this terrible enclosure. Please don’t do this to your pet!
