These are awesome and keep the nesting boxes much cleaner!
These are awesome! This made a huge difference in ease of keeping the nesting boxes and eggs clean. I can take them out to shake out dust/shake off poop which is much easier amd the hens can fluff them up like a nest. We have been using the same ones for 3 months and they are still holding up well. Will definitely be purchasing more!

Long lasting and perfect!
I built and got my first ever chickens almost exactly a year ago. After doing EXTENSIVE (almost obsessive research) I purchased these nesting pads as they were often recomended on many chicken blogs and in books. I could not be more please. I have 4 girls and two nesting boxes. I have only had to change these out once since I bought them. Sometimes when I am sprucing up the coop, I will shake them out and re-fluff them. I like to sprinkle some herbal blends in them every few weeks to keep them smelling nice. And yes, I am THAT kind of chicken mom. My girls are spoiled rotten!

My hens tore right through these
These were used in an egglu nesting box. I used 2 side by side. Within the first day, my 4 hens tore through the paper backing. I doubled them up and that seemed to help. They are definitely not as messy as straw or other nesting products but they aren’t as durable as I had hoped. Unsure if I would purchase again.

At least for my chickens they tend to pick off the straw from these so they end up just an empty square of brown paper. They are soft enough for the chickens to hang out on them for laying

My hens are finally using the nesting boxes.
When these arrive they are only about 3/4 of an inch thick. They fluff up very easily. I used a fork but it was just as easy to use your fingers to pull the loft up to about 2 to 3 inches. I formed a depression in the center and put a couple of fake eggs in them. My hens are finally laying in the nesting boxes instead of in the flower pots, the bed of my truck, under the coop and about a dozen other hiding spots. We’ve tried other things in the nesting boxes but these seem to be to their liking.
