Assembly wasn’t too bad faster if you use power tools. My dwarf hamster loves it but keep in mind if you have a dwarf hamster that the ramp and the opening to the lower level are big, mine fell through a few times and rolled down the ramp I had to make the opening a little smaller so he wouldn’t fall straight down but he’s figured it out now and loves sliding down

Unsafe could kill pets string chemical finish smell sticky hinge
I would have given a great review if this didn’t have a strong smell to it and some kind of finish on it that could be dangerous or deadly to a animal. I had to remove one of the hinges from one of the ramps after I tried again and again to wash off the sticky very string smelling finish that got onto the hinge. There is no way it would be safe for my hamster and he also probably would have gotten foot stuck to it with how sticky it is. Now I have to buy a new hing in order to use the ramp. I’m also going to get in contact with the seller to findout what they use for the finish on the wood because it’s such a strong smell my whole living room smells like it now. You would think they would know better then to use a finish on wood that animals will live in and it’s all the wood even the wheel ramps platforms seesaw ect. I would advise against buying this it could be very unsafe picture of very sticky smelly hinge I had to remove

Great for our mice with one modification…
Shipping was scheduled for Tuesday and we received it early on Friday. The shipping box was sturdy. The contents were packed very impressively. Assembly was easy with visual instructions and numbered panels. Even so, we underestimated our assembly time by a lot. We thought we’d be done in 30 minutes, but we took somewhere between 4-5 hours. Peeling the film off of the acrylic before assembly or before the screws are tightened down completely could be helpful. The top panel latches are very nice. The bottom level buckles are a great idea and work well. We feel our money was well spent for a sturdy, spacious, well made habitat. The modification we made because we are using it for mice is putting hardware cloth across the top panel that has the holes for ventilation. The holes are bigger than a dime, so we knew to add hardware cloth over it. The mice tested the holes right away (they used the top of the exercise wheel to jump up). We are so glad that the top panel had ventilation holes, though. We thought there were none and dreaded the thought of maybe drilling some ventilation holes through the acrylic panels. We love being able to provide deep nesting litter as our mice love to burrow. They spent until the morning hours getting to know their new home. This afternoon, they are somewhere on the bottom level tucked away in their deep litter nest. We love this for our mice.

DO NOT BUY FOR ANIMALS THAT CHEW
Set up was fine, structure is fine. But do not buy this for any small animal that chews!!! We have only had it a few months and I just found my gerbil cornered by my cat at the bottom of the stairs. They stood on top of their wheel and chewed the air hole until it was big enough to fit through and got out. It also has a very strong smell that isn’t good for their little noses.

Extremely Happy overall! Construction time definitely accurate being 2 hours, it was only doable with a second person helping as there is some tricky parts if you are building solo! And a few places that did not have pre drilled holes which made it 10x harderOnly thing I’d recommend is matting or a basing as pee or food will and has soaked in slightly to unsealed wood.Wooden wheel was not usable and unbalanced.Apart from those minor things it’s a great choice!

I love this 3 tier cage aesthetically. But for practicality it’s awful. I should’ve known better before I purchased this for my Syrian ham but my husband and I figured since it’s sold for small pets it should be okay. Nope, we have had to literally screw mending plates into every inch of available wood on the inside because it’s chewed so easily. If you don’t have a chewer I guess it would be good but if you do, avoid it lol. I wish I could’ve returned it but it’s too late now. It should at least come with some sort of chewing deterrents attached, especially for the price. It gets two stars because it’s pretty but that’s it.
