My African Gray Parrot Loves his New Bird Cage – Yaheetech Model #610715
Over the years I have purchased several bird cages for my African Gray parrot that I have had for 25 years and this cage is at the top of the list for quality, price, appearance, features and sturdiness. This cage is going to be used on the patio as my bird’s day cage and it will be subject to the elements in Florida. Since it is powder coated it should last much longer than some of the other cages. If I were to use this cage indoors it would last indefinitely. I’m sure that it will last several years on the patio but when it wears out I will without question purchase another Yaheetech bird cage. I would also like to mention that this cage is very heavy and it was packed quite well. It also arrived in perfect condition. My bird cage was originally delivered by FedEx to another house in the neighborhood. When I contacted Amazon I was informed that I would have to deal directly with Yaheetech about my missing bird cage. Yaheetech’s customer service was great and they were sincerely concerned with my missing bird cage. They stayed in contact with me until my bird cage mysteriously showed up in my driveway by the curb 120 feet from my front door. As mentioned previously this bird cage is made of quality materials and quite heavy. I give the bird cage and Yaheetech a 5+ star rating.

Very satisfied with this birdie palace
Super happy with this bird cage so far. As other reviewers said, a few parts arrived minorly bent but it was easy enough to bend them back to where they should be with a pair of good pliers. (Couldn’t really do it by hand, which I think is a good thing as far as indicating the bars are fairly strong.) I was worried from all the “It’s HUGE” comments that it was going to be bulky and bigger than I thought but in my opinion it’s just right, the bare minimum for multiple parakeets. The cage itself measures a little differently than the pictures indicated. I get 30” wide (not 32”), 18” deep, and 36” tall on the outside of the cage. (Maybe 34” from grate to ceiling?) I was a little disappointed that it was two inches less than the width I was expecting but it was also a couple inches taller so in the end I think it works out. The many access doors are great although I wish there was one lower on each of the sides and maybe one in the back. Installing fixtures in the back is definitely a two-person job if you’re little like me! There’s a tiny access door in the middle of the big front door which was a pleasant surprise. If your birds are flighty like mine, it’s nice to have the option to reach in without leaving a giant neon “Escape This Way” sign flashing. I just put my three single budgies in it last night and they adjusted fairly quickly and are ecstatic to have friends and so much space to explore. I’ve only cleaned it once so far but poop seems to pop off the hammered bars pretty quickly and four overlapping pieces of newspaper easily cover the bottom. I added clear acrylic sheets marketed as rabbit cage urine guards to the lower third of the cage back and sides to block seeds and feathers from flying everywhere and was very satisfied with how they look. Function remains to be tested! I felt like one bird looked majestic in the cage, two fit with plenty of room, and three still feels comfortable. I’d planned to add a fourth bird when we found another male we liked (two females and a male seems like asking for trouble) but we’ll see if they start using the whole space or just remain flocked up at the top. If so it might be a bit tight for four. Adding lots of natural perches and swings made it welcoming and we plan to add a light in the winter and a bath they can use periodically. The JW Pets bath shown in so many reviews does NOT fit without modification. (I wish someone would have posted exactly how they modified it to fit so I could do it too! I’ll add to my review if I figure it out.) The stand is perfectly square until you tighten up the upper support bars, then it’s suddenly uneven and wobbles. I just left mine a little looser on the top and it seems to be fine. The cage fits easily on the stand without rocking and rolls across carpet or hard floor fine. I agree with other reviewers that it would be nice if it had locking casters but being able to easily move the cage is great. My daughter is so excited to have this in her room, and we both love watching our little flock! Can’t wait to add some fake plants to the outside and put a section of removable wallpaper behind it on the wall for decoration. Petite eight year old for scale, and please forgive the mess in our junk room.

Overall a great cage once hacked
I read a lot of reviews on this cage before purchasing, I wanted to make sure I was getting the best possible one for my budgies and getting my money’s worth. It was packaged well, arrived fairly quick. The tracking number provided to me didn’t update the whole time I tracked it tho, it was stuck in the same place for a week and then showed up one day, I wasn’t prepared and my landlord had to lug it inside for me which I didn’t want her to have to do because she is older and just had surgery. It’s a heavy and awkward to carry box (63in cage)There was a perch that was a bit bent, still functions tho.Two complaints I have are:1. The fact that the cage was not designed to attach to the stand is very strange, it’s pretty sturdy sitting on top of it but if you plan on moving it around daily (like I did) you will be worried it’s just going to come crashing down, and it’s not that light. That being said, I got some zip ties and plan to secure it with those for my own peace of mind, so that’s an easy hack.2. There were some areas that did not line up perfectly that had to be screwed together. I ended up bending the provided Allen key trying to make it work. In the end I got all the screws secured properly but not without resistance. It was in 3 spots, it might help to lightly secure the screws then tighten completely once all are on. When you tighten the screws it does move the parts so that might’ve been a user error on my part, however it wasn’t mentioned in the video or instructions.Overall it’s a great cage, super roomy for my two budgies and a huge upgrade from their smaller cage I purchased when I got them. They seem to like it. I would buy it again.

    Great cage for the price!
Great flight cage for the price! Biggest overall with storage below for the $$. Arrived in good condition with only a couple of minor bends. Very easy to put together! I currently only have parakeets in this cage, will be looking for another pair. Birds have so much room to fly around now. Lots of access with the feeder doors too.

One of the side doors doesn’t stay shut but we had some thick wire and it works fine. I still give this cage 5 stars. Very easy to put together, looks nice, very roomy, very sturdy and the best part is the price. Other cages of the same size are going for $400+. I love all the doors, especially the large front door. We currently have one budgie in there.

My birds absolutely love this cage. They have plenty of room to fly about. They all love to sleep on their own swings and I was able to fit 4 swings across the top with room to spare. Every night they all hop on a swing for bedtime. The Yaheetech 54″ cage is next to it with 2 birds in it. I put a dog crate pan under the cages to help minimize the seeds that end of on the floor. Brilliant idea! Love the storage space under the cages and I make good use of it. Also love the way the big front door latches shut and all the small doors have catches so the birds can not open them on their own. My birds try to bite the bars sometimes but quickly give up because they are indestructable.

Super excited to see the quality EXCEPT:-Pieces were bent on arrival-The front and back crossbars for the base are identical, and have the same flaw, which means it stands crooked. I had to reverse one of them, which means the top isn’t secured properly and had to be zip tied. (I saw another one on Facebook marketplace that had the same issue, so be prepared)It is otherwise an excellent product for the price. Very sturdy and the latch is smooth and secure. The birds are happy.

Don’t listen to reviews saying the material is cheap, it’ll break, etc, those are customers who were sent faulty products and will make you scared about buying!! No matter how much you spend on a product, it can always come broken in the mail so don’t think spending even more than $200 on a cage will guarantee a perfect product (always remember you can return stuff easily). Anyways now that my rant is over, I love this new cage!! My cage before was from the pet store, half this size in height, had 3 small doors in the front, paint on the bars, and overall just not very pet or owner friendly especially since I wanted my birds to have all sorts of toys and perches and it couldn’t fit everything. This cage comes with 4 sliding doors for feeding (I was able to modify my bird bath a bit to fit in one of those doors), 3 cage opening doors for entry/ exit purposes (2 on each side at the top, and one on the main cage door – I used one for my nesting box, and they’re also pretty handy for screwing perches at the back of the cage since the cage is huge, it’s hard to wrap your arms from the front and back, so having those little doors on the side helps a lot), one main cage door on the front with a safety latch, 2 long bird perches, a tray for collecting waste at the bottom, 4 plastic feeding cups, and a stand with wheels and a shelf thats optional to attach if you don’t already have a place to put the cage on.Overall love it, my birds are getting used to the entry exit areas because it is very different from their previous cage, but it’s perfect and I couldn’t be happier with this purchase!

First let me start with me and my budgies love this cage they barely wanna come out for a fly but there still newish and skittish. The swing main door is smooth but my only down side is one of the feeding doors likes to give me problems but it’s easy enough to get it back on track. I also wish the feed doors went up and down a little smoother as on my cage there seems to be a sticking point about a inch into lifting or closing the door that requires some force or though but could be a safety feature I’m new to cages. But even though I’m new to cages and birds this is a cage that is so nice, I bought it twice. My 63 inch cage will be in Wednesday.Don’t let my small discretion fool you this is a great cage cats claws can’t get threw the bars and is so much space inside the 54 inch cage has 4 budgies I gotta separate as apperantly females can become killing machines so I hope this company comes out with a 4 cage breeding cage hint hint irronically to prevent mine from breeding in the breeding season or going Jeffery dalmer on each other for the same reason.I am getting the 64 inch for my 2 rehoused brooding cockatiels. There cage they came with is falling apart so wish it was in now honestly.Update My 63 inch cage was sapose to be in Wednesday it came in yesterday I think I’m in love it came together in 30 mins the hardest steps are the first 3 piece’s front and sides its a bit of a balancing act alone but after that its smooth sailing if you do this alone walls, chairs and whatever of the sort can be used to help support even your foot comes in handyAnyways the construction style in the 54 and 63 cages are simpler but the 53 has more piece’s. The feeding doors go up and down smoothly on this model the main door is a little stiff but I think thats because its new and a huge door now the mini door in the door broke me its to cute. My only question is what is the small door in the door for and the 1 on the sides of the cage are they for nests?Anyways even the online vet was calling the cages birdy palaces. So given it seems like I was listened to how about 4 cage breeder cages?
