Bought the one without dye
When I first got my budgies Larry and tweetie .. they devoured 3 of the dyed versions of these. But then they allowed 3 others to just sit there no interest for a long time. I am trying this one no dye to see if it is appealing to them – if the taste might be slightly more appealing to them now. They demolish cuttlebones. They would demolish another brand of mineral block which had a lot of dye and made a horrible mess with the red dyed dust: I can’t get that one again because of the mess but they loved that other roundish mineral block shaped..

Great Product for your feathered friend!!
I am so glad to have found these mineral blocks. Three pet store corporations have built stores all over the city and I have not been able to purchase these items until now. I have birds ranging from cockatiels, to ringnecks to amazons and would recommend this brand of mineral block to anyone who keeps birds as pets or companions. The size of this particular block is for small birds from cockatiels to finches. They install easily inside the cage and the formulation of the block is dense enough to provide lots of play (chewing) activity as well as nutrition for my pals.

Took forever to ship
This item took forever to ship, I think 3 weeks from order date, I wont buy from the seller again, but the item itself is perfect, and I will buy that again. My 2 budgies and cockatiel chew on it.

When I bought this product I didn’t realize it came with seeds to get the birds interested. Even with the seeds its hard for me to get my birds to eat it.

Cockatiel enjoys better then traditional shaped cuttle bone
Our female cockatiel is a frequent egg layer. So we were especially concerned that she was getting her minerals – but she never took to the traditional thin oval shapped cuttle bones. She liked to fly over to our fireplace and get at the brick. So when I found this, I was hopeful. And yes, indeed, she has taken to chipping away at this instead.

Nice Purchase for My Parakeets
I ordered the smaller of the Bird Banquet Mineral Block and my parakeets really do use them. I like the size for my birds. They way that they attach to the cage is the twisty tie that is attached to the mineral block. Also, I have tried the Fruit and the Vegetable Zoo Med Mineral Blocks for my parakeets and they like those too.

This is honestly the favorite beak block over anything and everything I’ve purchased. They always go back to this cheap little block, and that’s fine with me. It doesn’t take up a lot of space, and they all like it, so a win on all fronts.
