Transparent Acrylic Hamster Cage with Cute Ocean-Themed Accessories
The acrylic hamster cage is large and fully transparent. It is made of thick, durable acrylic that allows me to observe my little friends without obstruction. The cage measures over 23 inches in length, about 15 inches in width, and 15 1/4 inches in height. I think it’s a lot of space for a hamster.The cage has a beach and ocean-themed interior with wooden accessories. According to the assembly instructions those accessories are a hamster hideout, peek-a-boo house, activity platform, a clear blue-tinted exercise wheel, bathroom unit, food bowl, water bottle, and pet toy. There’s also a clear cap that I can remove to connect a tunnel if I had one.The wheel doesn’t bother me. It has very silent bearings and the wheel spins quite fast. The bottle holder is height-adjustable so I can lower it for younger pets and heighten it later on. The bottle comes with a wire. I use it to secure the bottle to the holder because without it, the bottle would drop.I find the peek-a-boo house a fun way to check on my pet. Its door is magnetic, so I can attach it to the outside of the cage. It isn’t a real door, but I can open it and look through the acrylic to see if my pet is inside.I assembled the cage in two steps: place the top part onto the bottom part and align it. Then I secure it with the snap-locks on both ends. I don’t have to use any tools. The cage’s bottom part is fully sealed and leak-proof. No bedding falls out of the cage. And it also has a smooth surface that makes it easy to clean with just a wipe or rinse. I also had to assemble the activity platform by screwing in its tall legs. The assembly was easy.There’s plenty of ventilation with vents all over on the top and sides. The front of the cage has a wide panoramic door, so I have quick access for feeding, cleaning, and interacting with my pet. The base has four white legs so the cage is a few inches off the ground. But I can also remove the legs.The cage allows me to stack another one on top and connect both with a tunnel, too. So, in case I want more pets I can stack their cages to save space. The deep bedding zone measures around 6 3/4 inches, and I see it’s enough for tunneling, and the near-vertical base expands the floor space. As the cage is made of durable acrylic, I expect it to last much longer than my previous wire cage that began to rust. I think it’s much more valuable than my old cage.
