Compact Nano Aquarium Kit
A 2.8-gallon nano aquarium kit like this turned out to be a nice compact setup for keeping a small fish or shrimp on a desk or countertop. The tank uses clear glass and measures roughly 11.8 × 7 × 7.8 inches, so it doesn’t take up much space while still giving a good view of the fish and plants inside. Setting it up was fairly simple because the kit already includes a waterfall-style filter and an aquarium light, which means there is no need to buy extra equipment to get started. The glass is surprisingly clear and thick, which makes the aquascape look clean and bright once water and decorations are added. The compact size makes it perfect for beginners, children, or anyone who wants a small decorative aquarium without a complicated setup. The filter helps keep the water circulating and the LED light makes the fish and plants stand out nicely. A small drawback is that with only 2.8 gallons of water, maintenance like partial water changes needs to be done regularly to keep the environment stable for the fish.

This is a good starter kit. Everything comes well packed in foam and there were no chips or dings to the tank at all.The tank is not truly rimless. The top is rimless but the bottom has the black edge band. It is still really beautiful. The tank is well made. There’s no excess or messy silicone. The edges are highly polished. The glass clear. The back panel is a black opaque piece of glass that you cannot see through. Is nice and gives the small tank dimension. The bottom of the tank as a self-leveling mat attached.This kit comes with with a waterfall style hanging filter that covers all the bases. The intake is foam covered to protect livestock. There’s a spinning surface skimmer that is self- adjusting to the level of water and the tank. The filter insert cartridge contains biomedia filtration covered with filter floss. You only get one cartridge but it washes clean easily and it’s reusable. It works a lot better when cycled and established with beneficial bacteria. The kit also comes the small LED grow light. It’s bright and lights up the tank nicely. There’s is only on/off, no dimming adjustments. My tank is planted with live aquatic plants that are thriving with only the grow light.I purchased my own plant growing media, plants, decorative drift wood, and rocks.I set my tank on top of a black marble pedestal to elevate it and I think it looks great. My betta is living it’s best life.I have another similarly sized tank that I have set up side by side with this one. That kit costs twice as as one. Main difference is, the other tank is truly rimless. It additionally comes with gravel, rocks, a faux plant. And it comes with a clear acrylic lid. I can pass on the gravel/rocks/plant but I wish this one had a lid option to protect the fish from jumping out.

You’re better off buy the items separately rather than this kit
I was really looking forward to getting this to put on my desk to look at while I work because the pictures were so nice. Well, what you get and what you see is a bit different. While the tank itself it not bad, the accessories are junk. The light is cheap plastic and so is the pump. I used one of my nicer lights and will be looking for a replacement for the pump. You’re better off buy the items separately rather than this kit.

Got this fish tank for my brother that is just getting into fish keeping he didn’t want something too big he said this was just the right size he keeps a few goldfish in this 2.8 gallon tank he loves it the tank is made out of glass not cheap plastic the filter does a good job of keeping the tank clean he says he would highly recommend it to anybody who is looking to get into the fish hobby but without getting too big of a tank

Nice beginning tank for all ages.
I gave this aquarium some time for the water to cycle through changes needed to provide for healthy fish and to stabilize so that there would be no wild fluctuations in the water parameters. Everything was provided in the aquarium kit to accomplish this except for the gravel, plants, and healthy decorations. This is a process that can’t be skipped in a small aquarium and larger ones. If anything, nano aquariums require more vigilance than larger ones because you don’t have the cushion larger ones have. This aquarium has been a joy to have. The glass is clear and the tank has weathered the occasional bump on the table. The filter is easy to assemble, and the light requires no instructions at all. The fish in the tank are the same ones I’m looking at across the room now. There is a ton of information on the web regarding setting up, maintaining, and selecting fish for a really small tank. Reviewing this information is a must-do to avoid frustrating problems that can develop, and help you enjoy this tank. I wouldn’t have included the photo of all the orange fish in this tank, as a small tank like this can’t support that many, especially that type.

This is a really nice nano aquarium, comes with a pretty high powered led light and a really nice small filter, with all the media inside it. The filter is powerful for such a little guy, i have two on two other tanks and it keeps them clear as well. great price for such a nice clean tank, i especially like the blacked out back glass, it looks really good. The quality is amazing, looks and feels top tier, better then most big box stores. Make sure you pick up some gravel for this and maybe a small tank heater depending on what your going to house in here. This is not a big tank and cant fit a lot of fish, but perfect for shrimp or some small tetras or a beta.

This. 2.8 gal nano tank is awesome! I’ve had my pink female beta in a nano 1 gallon and it was too small, so this is definitely an upgrade. It comes with a filter that has a skimmer for floating debris and it comes with a light that s super bright. This doesn’t come with any substrate or hard scape. I do like the black opaque background because it helps my green Anubis and ferns contrast and makes the green really pop! Love this rimless tank!
