Well made product
This is such a convenient tool. The light actually does work even to some extent on darker nails. I really appreciate that the blades are sharp and make a good clean trim which you can further fine tune with the grinding tool on the other end. Definitely worth having if you’ve got pups.

They are so good my dog went to sleep
I bought these bc I needed a new pair. The light and magnifying glass part was an added bonus. They are easy to use. My dogs were happy, one went to sleep getting her nails done. The are well made. My bassinet has thick hard nails and it cut through them easily. I used them on my smaller dogs and it was no issue or uncomfortable with there smaller hard to see nails. The magnifying part act as a nail catcher also so it’s safe to use. You don’t have to worry about a random nail flying in your eye. The file part isn’t loud and easy to use also.

Finally found a solution to cutting the dogs nails
For our dog who HATES getting her nails cut, the filing function worked very well. It is quite loud when it hits the nail but you could tell it was less scary and she didnt react as poorly as she usually does. Well worth the cost to save us all the trauma. Haven’t tried the cutting side but it was clearly designed with intention.

Great, but doesn’t illuminate black nails
This works really well, and having the light is super helpful, however the light does not make a difference on my dogs black nails. I especially appreciate the cap that keeps the nail trimmings from flying across the room!

Handy clippers!
Super useful, extra strong for clipping those ‘bear claws’ and the grinder is humble and quiet. I like that I don’t have to pick up clipped nail pebbles anymore. The light isn’t bright enough to reveal the quick on my doxie’s pitch black nails sadly. Still a great purchase

Eh. Kind of a letdown
It clips nails, it grinds but it doesn’t show the quick for my dogs black nails. I do like that there’s a catch for the clipped nails and it’s comfy to hold while clipping. It comes with a USB charging cable.Side note: the box I received was ripped opened and looked like it might have been removed from the box and returned at one point. The item was functional and mostly clean but it definitely wasn’t worth the $30 I paid for a brand new unit.

Great for parrots
Wow this is a great invention! My parrot has learned to fear nail files, and I’m too nervous to use clippers because I’ve nicked him in the past. He has opaque black nails and no way to see the quick unless looking from underneath. Dremels are much too loud and unsafe. If a parrots nails grow out too much, it can cause arthritis over time, and because I ruined the other methods for him, this has been a concern.He has never seen this object before, so I clicker trained him to be comfortable touching it a day or two before actually using it on him. It is thankfully very quiet. The volume of a fly or mosquito.The clipper end is pretty useless for us, it’s much too big, but the grinder is priceless! It works so fast and we turned it into a game. I wouldn’t say he likes it, but he isn’t afraid of it, and his nails are now the appropriate length, so I’m very grateful to have found this product!

Does not work as advertised – can’t see anything in black nails. And the light is oriented such it blinds you anyway. It’s a gimmick that I had high hopes for.
