OK, but not my rabbit’s favorite
I am always looking for healthy treats to offer my 2 rabbits.I like that these are healthy ingredients and not sugary like some others.These are essential in keeping their teeth from over growing.My rabbits usually go crazy when I offer them treats but they were not too interested in these at first.But they did come around and eat them.It is a good value for the amount you get but these are not my rabbit’s favorite.

We have assortment of rodents in my house, as my daughter is obsessed with them. Fortunately, these Timothy Hay treats can be consumed by all of them – rabbit, guinea pigs & a hamster. These come in a variety of flavors – plain timothy hay, rose – red, myosotis – purple & calendula – orange. These treats take a while for the animals to gnaw through, which is good for them, as it helps with their teeth grinding and chewing, and they’re rich in natural nutrients. They’re thick enough to where they will work on consuming them for a while – which helps with animals that sometimes get bored. You can freeze them as well to help them hold their shape and maintain freshness. These treats come in 5-packs by flavor – you get 10 of each of the 4 flavors, which breaks down to less than $.40 per treat. These aren’t huge, but certainly aren’t small – especially for the hamster. The rabbit and pigs can power through them in about 15 minutes.

Love this set of chews
Super great chew set for my chinchillas. They have been loving all the treat. They are made well and work great for grinding down their teeth and breaking boredom. They smell like fresh hay and are colorful and shaped like hearts, so cute. Well made set and are perfect sizes for tiny paws. Good value for the number and variety of you receive.

Bunny Approved!
Bunny approved! My pair of 3 & 4 pound rabbits love these little hay cakes and I love that I can give them healthier, lower sugar treats. They were packaged nicely, with five of each type in their own little baggie, and look and smell fresh. The buns definitely have their preferences – the yellow flower topper is devoured immediately while the blue sits around for a bit, with the others in between – but these picky bunnies like them all. In the photo, Tofu took his to hide in the castle while he ate, and Mochi already finished hers and is thinking about going after him XD These work out to about 50 cents per treat, which isn’t bad given their size and quality.

Be cautious with brightly colored foods
Consider this item to be nutrient-dense, which means it’s also high in vitamin A from the brightly colored plants. While this may be fine for rabbits and rodents in smaller amounts, if you have a gerbil or other animal with seizures or wet tail, you may want to consider a lower in vitamin A diet. Vitamin A toxicity is linked to sickness in gerbils, and if you use pet store feed, they’re already getting more than they need. So use with caution. Look into Grant Genereux’s work and the growing work in this area for more information. Original rat studies were done with no knowledge of precursors.

These heart-shaped guinea pig treats are very cute. It’s good to have a variety of enrichment toys and treats for your guinea pigs. Ours seemed to enjoy these Timothy Hay made treats. They’re hard and good for their teeth to chew on.
