Love it
Excellent hideaway for my gerbils. They aren’t chewing at it (which is amazing – they chew everything!) and they even use it in the summer. It took them less than a day to explore it before they brought bedding in and made it their nest. It was also very easy to put together and is easy to clean.

Cute & decent quality once assembled, but clearly is for a smaller hamster or mouse. My new 3mo Syrian barely fit through opening, so I used a dremel to open up the bottom and sides. For the price and all, just cut a box instead.

Not very practical
Not great very hard to clean without fully disassembling. Tried using without bottom but house fell apart. Currently using without a side and gerbils don’t seems to mind but not a full hide out that way. Do not recommend.

Designed for hamsters and smaller
This hamster house is made well. I like the flat roof because it gives another place to perch or you can set something on top of it. The size is appropriate for hamsters and smaller. I have no idea what the description is talking about in terms of guinea pigs, lemmings, and chinchillas. Obviously that’s not at all what this is made for. If you have a hamster, gerbil, or mouse it will work. I know that my gerbils would absolutely annihilate this. My hamsters are actually not aggressive chewers. My male Syrian has done quite well in this little house. I would recommend it. I also think that for the size and quality, it’s a good value.
