Nice bedding
This is nice bedding. Please make sure when you get bedding for your babies that it is not pine which is bad for the reason that it can give of bad fumes in your enclosures. Thankfully this is not and is actually pretty nice. My babies seem to like it which is great and it is pretty absorbent which makes me happy. I go through quite a bit of bedding so finding one that works well for my babies and me and is reasonably prices is a must.

Very absorbent.
These wood shavings are so much nicer than the bedding I previously used for my son’s Guinea pigs. They have a very pleasant smell as you open the bag and are soft to the touch. As they are wood I was expecting them to be a little hard or even splintery but they aren’t. They seem to be absorbing more than the other wood shavings and paper bedding I’ve tried before. I put a thin layer down to give them a try and it’s holding up nicely. The color makes it easy to spot areas that need cleaned up with the litter scoop and the piggies appear to be just fine with the litter switch. This bag is going to last awhile.

Good, Not Entirely Dust Free as Claimed
I used this for some day old chicks since the bag clearly states that these wood chips are free of cedar or pine phenols (even though it smelled nice like cedar). The wood chips were fine grained and very soft. It is absorbent and my baby chicks are doing well on them. I am pleased overall with the quality, but I am docking a star because the bag claims that these are “dust free.” When I poured these into the brooder a fine haze of dust came up out of the brooder. MOST wood shavings have a minimal amount of dust of some sort, but those bags also don’t have “dust free” advertised on the packaging. The bag is clearly shavings and not sawdust, but be aware if you have allergies or whatever that these shavings are not “dust free” or at least not the package that I got. I also did not like that they didn’t state what kind of wood this is. Only that it was white and free of phenols. If it is cedar, there needs to be some explanation on how the phenols are removed.

This bedding is by far the worst I’ve had for my bunnies. There was absolutely zero absorbency. Caused the litter pan to be very wet and stinky. This would be better for small rodents like mice, rats, or Guinea pigs.

Hypoallergenic and fully biodegradable white wood small animal bedding
While this is priced a bit higher than the bedding I typically buy, the fact that it’s fully biodegradable white wood, was a draw for me. We raise rabbits simply so that we can use their dropping for our garden compost so using a product that we can simply remove from cages and add to our garden is key for us and this was perfect for that! Its not exactly totally dust free, but it absorbs well, is highly compostable and comes in a compressed package that has more bedding than you’d expect inside! Very happy with it!

Fantastic wood shavings!
So not only do we use this as bedding for our bun, but we also use these shavings as cat litter. The bunny loves it, its very soft and so far doesnt have any kind of odor when he potties in it. Same with the cats. Weve always used the huge bags of shavings from Tractor Supply, and they will start to smell and need to be changed frequently, but you cant beat the absorbency of wood shavings. These seem to be on par if not better, and Im sure better for the animals to begin with since they say they do not have any treated chemicals in them which I love. Im surprised at how large the bag was too! Should last a couple of weeks!

Great bedding
This is exactly what I needed for our rescue squirrel who loves to dog and bury his peanuts. This bedding works great in his temporary enclosure until we get the full sanctuary built for him. Great product!
