Almost a 5. Hope there’s another version in the future!
Almost a 5!Edit: I updated it to a 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ because I feel it’s the best option for backpack cage options. And after using it for over a week. It’s been pretty awesome.I am leaving a 4-Star on this because I hope they can use the feedback to make a version 2 in the future. My review is based off the type of bird I have, a parrotlet. It’s perfect him. I am not sure how this would do for bigger more destructive birds. I uploaded vids of it before I modified it with velcro-top and after. (Patch on top not included). I am leaving a long review and pics because I really like this bag and want to see more of it in the future.Right off the bat, I’ll say why I didn’t give it a 5-Star.Three main reasons.1-The front door is too small for maintenance and getting the bird in-and-out. Though I don’t have a medium/medium small bird, I can see it being a problem trying to get a stubborn parrot in and out of there.2- The backpack straps at the bottom dig into your back :(3- No pockets/bags for other items. Even a little training clicker or small bag of treats.4- Zipper isn’t the easiest thing to open/closeI’ve had the bag for about a week now and have been modifying it aggressively to fit my little feathered friend’s needs. I hope these modifications can be implemented in a ver 2.0.Now let’s get to the Categories.LOOKS: 10/10: This bag looks awesome. Got compliments of it EVERYWHERE I went. Look at the white and green. It’s great. Probably the most “fashionable” looking cage I’ve seen. However, you can see in my pics, that I modified it with Velcro.FUNCTIONALITY: 8.75/10 Once the bag is setup, it’s great. The bag is balanced when holding it from the top. However, the bottom backpack straps are at a bad placement. I will need to sew/modify the straps so they hang more toward the side. The gap between the straps is too narrow, which causes the metal part (especially where the metal clip/hook is) to dig into your bag. I got pinched once taking the bag off and got scratched adjusting the strap while it was on…and that was irritating. The straps need some sort of NATO/leather flap cover that slips over the metal, or the straps need to be sewn apart from each other more. The other thing that dinged the score was the size of the door. It’s small. For my parrotlet it’s perfect and he is behaved(for the most part), so it’s not a battle to get him in and out of the cage. Otherwise, they will try to grab onto the top before going in. Or they might be stubborn coming out. You’ve only got 1 hand in there so if you have a biter, good luck. The whole front needs a much larger opening. It would be really cool if the front part opened up folding down, not just the small door itself. Also… The gate itself. The bird has full free air and not being cooked in a plastic. He loves the fresh air listening/calling to other birds when he is chillin’ in there. One key move on the outside side straps.. Great to slip the seat belt through so the cage doesn’t fly around. Also, the 2 rings on front, I haven’t found their offiical use, but I use the ring straps to hold his target stick(chop stick)EASY OF CLEANING / MAINTENANCE (INTERIOR): 8/10: The good thing is, you don’t need to unzip the entire thing. As you can see in my pic, I just un-velcro’ed and un-zipped the bottom, letting it hang. Was able to hang the bag on a hanger, grab a tooth brush and some soap & water and brush away the waste. Easily dried with paper towels. The bottom has a gate you can slide out the bottom mesh from the side which is awesome. Even more awesome is the fact that a single bounty paper towel sheet can fit perfectly along the bottom. So far I’ve only had to brush the back, and the bottom has been spotless because of the paper towel. So some days, I just need to open the side, and take the paper towel out to replace with a fresh new piece. The velcro sides help tremendously with all the toy shreds and food your bird will leave for you. Just a warning. Open the velcro outside… you don’t know what’s going to fall out once the side opens up. .EASE OF CLEANING / MAINTENANCE (EXTERIOR): N/A: Not sure yet. Haven’t spilled anything on the bag so I am not exactly sure how you would clean the white/bright part of the bag. Was thinking of spraying a stain/scotch guard on the outside and letting it sit for a week or 2 to air out, but I’m not sure if it will effect the bird’s breathing. The outside mateiral is not the same as the inside. The inside has a nice lining that can be scrubbed lightly to clean. The outide is more foamy/canvas. Not sure if outside will stain.SETUP: 9/10: You have other setup this cage before you zip it up from the bottom. Lucky for me, I like legos and building stuff and making layouts. Let me tell you… the cage is AWESOME. I put extra perches in there, small water bottle and sometimes I alternate the food cup for a magnetic feeder cup I used for my Crested Gecko. The parrotlet is small enough to jump onto the ledge and go to town on the food. When I don’t take water with me, I’ll shove an apple slice or banana through the gate so he has his TOPS/Harrisons/Egg/Mazuri dry mix in the deep cup. And he can get his liquid from the fruit. Or if don’t take food, stop and fill water into the crested gecko magnet feeder when he’s thirsty. I didn’t give a 10/10 because there’s no ring/bar on the top for toys to hang. So you have to hang the toys from the side cage walls. So yes, setup takes some time. But once you’re ready to rock, the cage is awesome.

After a few days, I decided to put velcro on the top of the bag so I could velcro some branches on top when he wants to come out and hang. I am able to target train him while having lunch which is nice. Will probably modify it a little bit more and put a light metal plate or 3D printed plate to make the top stable. For now, I velcro 2 branches and have them lean into each other so they don’t wobble so much while he’s on top. A green cheek conure might cause some serious wobble if the top isn’t solid and stabilized. But for a parakeet or my parrotlet, it works.PORTABILITY: 10/10: The weight seemed heavier than my original backpack (a clear plastic one that I am sure most of you have/had at one point… but then realized it turns into a microwave on sunny days. Even after adding the toys and extra perches, the weight difference went away just taking a few steps into the walk.DURABILITY: 9/10: Don’t do what I did and try to iron on a patch onto the top 🙁 I wound up gluing it… but the imprint of the iron mark remains. The top is like a foam or something that will definitely imprint. Tho it’s kind of hard it can still fold or get penetrated with something sharp if you really tried. You could drop a can of soda and it won’t cave in. But it would probably leave a mark.SUGGESTIONS/WISH LIST: Would be nice to have a wider opening option. (Bigger door than the door on it) Something that wouldn’t require you to open the velcro bottom. Straps, please make more comfy. Spread the bottom hooks to the sides so it doesn’t dig into your back. For an extra $5.00 please add a pocket or small pouch small bag of treats or a clicker. The button strap on top where the clear name/luggage tag is nice to hang extra stuff off, but a matching pouch would be great. Also, please consider adding a 3 inch metal plate on top so that you can screw in a possible perch. The velcro I have you can see on mine works, but it is a little flimsy. Unfortunately the velcro on top hid the nice color of the white, but I at least covered some of my hot-iron imprints from the patch. Also, please include an option/accessory for a bag cover. Maybe a piece that can button/velcro up to cover the cage portion in case you travel at night and want to black out the cage during bed time when you’re on the road. Recommend a neutral color option for those who don’t want to look too flashy.OVERALL: Get the bag. For the price, for the open air breathability,. If you don’t mind the attention (your parrot will) get the bag. The bright color will help the bird see the bag too in case goes a little too far from you (if you free flight)One last thing… Everywhere you go with this. Be prepared for the attention. So many compliments on it and other bird owners who will ask you about it.

    Quality item right here!!
Hello beautiful people…I dont always leave reviews but when something is really great I like to make sure I show some appreciation for it!Originally my order was delivered wrong by Amazon. The sellers contacted me after asking for a return to see what had gone wrong. I was hesitant to reorder but they reassured me I would get the correct item.To make it up for me they even gave me a discount. They also kept in touch making sure the correct item was delivered and I was satisfied with it. They were actually really really nice through out the email communications I want to thank them again for the care they put into their business! Now about the cage! It is wonderful! Exactly what I was wanting!Alot of the transport cages are heavily made with plastics and fabric and are not very breathable. That small of a space can heat up quickly in the summer with not alot of ventilation! This cage is durable well made with metal and it has a nice backpack fitting on it.There is also plenty of room for my quaker parrot Pearl to move around while we are on the go!She seems to be happy in it as you can see! And I am very happy with it too!It was definitely worth the money…not like alot of the junk that shows up and looked different in the pictures! This is actually a really nice travel cage for a small parrot! If you are think about it for you bird get it!🦜💚🕊✨️

    Beautiful and thoughtful birdcage
As someone who adores my little feathered companion like family, I always want to make sure they are comfortable, safe, and happy. I recently looked for a travel-friendly birdcage that wasn’t just functional but also beautifully designed—and that’s when I came across this.At first, I hesitated because the price was a bit above my original budget. But the moment I saw the elegant design, I knew I had to give it a try. And I’m so glad I did. When the birdcage arrived, I found it’s even more adorable. The design is clean and modern. But beyond its looks, what impressed me most was the quality. The cage is incredibly lightweight, which is a huge plus for someone like me who often brings my birds. It’s remarkably sturdy and feels very secure. The covering of the cage is also pretty nice. It’s thick, durable, and has a lovely texture to it. The most important thing, easy to wipe clean (a lifesaver for any pet owner!). There are two thoughtfully placed openings that make it easy to refill food and water or do a quick clean, which I really appreciate. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to include a simple instruction manual. It took me a bit of time to figure out what each part was for.In short, this cage exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s clearly made by people who understand and care about birds—and the people who love them. Highly, highly recommended for anyone who sees their pet not just as an animal, but as a beloved member of the family.
