Why should I give my pet cuttlebone, and is it safe for all species? Can my tortoise eat cuttlebone?
Cuttlebone is a natural calcium source that supports beak health in birds and shell strength in reptiles and crustaceans. It is 100% natural, sun-dried, and free from chemicals, making it safe for all bird species and small pets including tortoises.
What size are these cuttlebones and how do I attach it to my bird’s cage?
Cuttlebones comes in 3 size variations i.e. 4″, 6″ and 8 inches, perfect for small to large pets. It includes a sturdy holder for easy installation and secure placement.
Why does cuttlebone have a soft and hard side? Can it be ground into powder for food?
The soft side is easier to chew, while the hard side provides durability for extended use. Simply scrape or crush it into a fine powder and mix it into food for an additional calcium boost.
Is cuttlebone essential for birds? How long does a cuttlebone last?
While not mandatory, it’s highly recommended for beak conditioning and calcium intake. It depends on usage. Birds nibble on it for weeks, while larger pets may consume it faster.
Are all cuttlebones 100% Natural? Are these sun-dried or artificially processed?
All Birds LOVE cuttlebones are 100% natural and sundried. This is in contrast to the leading brand that mixes ground cuttlebone with other ingredients and dries them to resemble natural cuttlebone.

All natural & clean cuttlebone!
I order the 3.5-4” cuttlebones for my daughter’s aquarium to make sure her snails have hearty & healthy shells as they grow. These were well packaged, at least 4” in length if not more and reasonably priced. There’s no smell to the to them which is a plus. It was easy to break off a couple pieces and place them in her tank and it didn’t take long for them to soften up. They should last us awhile but I’ll definitely plan to buy again when we run out. I haven’t been able to find them in store near us, especially not all natural ones.

Great buy
Came in one pack with four individual pieces inside.. worth it. One piece last my 3 cockatiel for a month mane longer. But overall a great buy

Bird loved it, so I assume it tasted good
One of the ratings for this item was flavor but since I have never tasted cuttlebone I can’t comment. My bird, however, seemed to think it was good because she took an instant liking to it. Truth be told I had never even heard the term cuttlebone until I recently inherited my sisters parakeet and someone I know with birds suggested it. The price was quite reasonable and it included two in the package so I’m guessing I’ll have my cuttlebone needs fulfilled for quite a while. What amazes me most however is that someone figured out that a non seabird such as parakeet would be interested in some sort of ocean animal but they certainly are. I recommend getting one for your bird – they’ll thank you.Update – while the birds (i just inherited another one) really like this the clip that is attached to it should be redesigned as it has made attaching it to the cage difficult. It fell off a couple times now so I had to attach it with a piece of bailing wire. For this reason I’m deducting one star

Rusty metal inside of bone???!
I’m not sure why there was even a metal shoved through the bone to begin with but there is and it is extremely rusty and left rust marks along the inside of the bone where it was shoved through. When I was getting it out the bone shattered; the other bone had no metal inside of it but was shattered inside of the package. I think they are old, the one with the rust is definitely old because it’s literally RUSTY. The texture is also off not that of what the bone should be and I don’t think the nutrients are correct because it smells weird too but that may also be because of the rust. I’d like to know why the hell there was even a piece of metal shoved through the inside of the bone to begin with let along a fricking rusty one. Ridiculous. Wtf

Nice, Real Cuttlebones. Happy Birdy!
I love a real cuttlebone and so does my bird. These are great. They arrived a bit broken but the bird didn’t care. Nice big supply.

My snails love it!
Always come back to this because my snails love it. Perfect sizing, not too chipped (even though the little guys don’t mind, they just eat lol) 💙

Exactly what I needed
These work perfect to add to an aquarium for snails and shrimp to have a little more calcium in the water column. The ingredients are simple and direct. They are healthy for a bird, insect or aquarium pets. They break apart easily if you need them to and they seem last a long time. I couldn’t be happier with this brand.
