I cannot say enough good things about the Bissell 1784L Oxy Stain Remover. This is truly the best stain remover I’ve ever used, and it has saved my carpets more times than I can count.What impresses me most is how fast and effectively it works. As soon as I spray it on a stain—whether it’s urine, vomit, mud, or anything else life decides to throw at my floors—it immediately starts to penetrate and lift the mess. This product has really worked well for us!
This is the best product I’ve ever found for cleaning up pet messes on my carpets. With three border collies and a cat who is a hairball-barfing champion, I’ve tried just about every spot cleaner I could find. Some were sort of okay, others didn’t work very well at all. But this has truly been amazing. With a paper towel, remove anything solid first. Then shake the can well, spray the area liberally and place a doubled paper towel over the mess and press down lightly (I just use my foot) to make sure the towel is touching the sprayed area. In about 15 minutes or so, I lightly rub the paper towel into the area with my foot, and 99% of the time, when I lift up the towel, the stain is gone. Only on rare occasions do I need to do a second treatment. With my furry gang, I always make sure we have several cans in our house!

Good for white carpeting!
I have used this for years for cats that all like to throw up on carpeting, either a hairball or vomit. This cleans well. Once in a while, it takes two treatments. Spray, leave it for a while, blot with multiple layers of paper towels (I step on it with my foot), and do it again if needed.

Works extremely well even without following the instructions
So I finally used this to get rid a of cat urine stain that was old. I soaked the area with water and sucked up all the old mess until I got it all out of the carpet. There was a very noticeable stain in the carpet. Was a bit less but it’s still there after the initial cleaning. I used this and let it sit for 15 minutes. Used a carpet broom brush and worked it into the stain area. Then let it sit for another 15 minutes and used my carpet cleaning machine to clean it all up with just water. Could tell that it was clean. The next day you can clearly tell it’s clean. I know I did not follow the instructions. It was not a small little marking but a big one that was marked on several times I believe. You can not use any of these urine products without first getting the urine up and out of the carpet. Using water and a shop vac hooked up to a carpet extracter has to be done first. If not your just dusting off the stain and will not get rid of it. I was very surprised at how good it worked and looks.

This is terrific! My small dog has occasional accidents inside, with this in my arsenal, I never have to worry, stains disappear immediately, and also removes any odors that may have a tendency to linger in the carpet. I always have a can or two of this on hand, and take it along on vacations just in case!

So we all know that carpet stains tend to just keep coming back. I have 5 cats so vomit is a way of life. Prior to that, I had a chronically sick cat who threw up MULTIPLE times a day. My carpet is a mess. We even had one of those little carpet cleaner machines until the hose broke. We’d clean a spot, it would look great. In a couple of weeks, you could see the stain again. We recently took in 3 strays and are dealing with a worming issue. Yesterday, I had a cat throw up literally in a continuous 5 foot line in my living room. I ended up pouring that pet enzyme carpet cleaner stuff on it and using our big carpet cleaner machine because I had none of this. Big mistake. Sure it took the stain out, but it also discolored my carpet all along that line. I was hopeful it was just because the rest of my carpet is so dirty, but I think it’s a permanent discoloration. It might have been because the solution is probably 5 years old, who knows?Now, this stuff you can use as a spot treatment by spraying and blotting a fresh stain like always. But here’s where I tell you the magic is. After cleaning up as much of the mess as you can and doing the blotting thing, completely saturate the carpet with this stuff and leave it alone. Just let it dry over time. I did that last week with 5 huge stains that were easily over 3 years old and they are now “gone”. Yep, they might (and probably will) come back. But it’s so much easier to just then spray this stuff on it again and walk away than to waste time trying to deep clean the carpet. When I went to order some yesterday I was so afraid it would no longer be available. Bissell has another version in a black can that is not specifically for pets. It sprays as a liquid not a foam and is actually easier to aim accurately at the stain. It works as well, but I personally think this one works better.I’ve never looked for it at the store so I don’t know how much it is there. I personally think the price on here for 2 of these is a little steep because being a foam, the bottle doesn’t last a super long time. But it’s still money well spent.
