Listen—I’ve tried the wood shavings. I’ve lived that dusty, sneezy, “why does the whole room smell like a forest on fire” life. This paper litter? Game-changer. Soft, absorbent, no weird smell, no airborne cloud of regret every time I clean the cage.My guinea pigs? THRIVING. They’re walking around like, “Oh wow, are these… plush floor mats? Is this a boutique suite?” They’re popcorning like they just got promoted. And I’m out here scooping like a clean-freak wizard with a purpose.It’s lightweight, it doesn’t crumble into weird paper dust, and it keeps things so much fresher than anything else I’ve tried. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who wants to feel like they’ve upgraded their piggies to first-class bedding.

Highly recommend. Cheapest bedding that you can find anywhere.My hamster doesn’t really care about bedding and would rather be snug in some paper towel and tissues, so I use this bedding to musk up the odor which it does a great job in.I have a dwarf hamster, she likes to sleep on her bed of tissues, so I change that every other day, but other than the bed, there is carefresh bedding everywhere else, so when she does her business (especially around her wheels and playground) the refresh really absorbs everything up.When the carefresh bedding starts feeling tough or hard, that is when I change the bedding. I assume that happens because my hamster did her business and it got absorbed into the bedding, making this rough.She lives in a 2 floor, 2 feet by 1 feet house which I connect the top and bottom with tunnels. I only need to change her bedding once every 3 weeks, sometimes even 4 if she only does her business in her bed.I purchased the 60L bedding last September and I still haven’t used it all up yet! About 1/8 left.If your going to get a hamster, than I would highly recommend. Will have you so much.

Mostly great with a few bad batches
I have had this product on auto ship for several months and have been happy with it. However, two of the last three packages have had a horrible smell. So bad that I ended up having to go to the store to buy a new package and change the bedding within a day because it made the room smell so bad. I will be cancelling the auto ship and moving to a different brand moving forward.

I’ve been using this bedding for years, what happened?
I’ve been using carefresh pet bedding for years for my ferrets and never once had an issue. I usually get the 60L bag but there was none in stock so I went with the 30L bag. When receiving it, it was a lot darker in color, like a dark brown instead of the normal beige color (see picture for reference). I chose to ignore it because some times the color can vary due to it being natural paper bedding. But then, a few hours later, after scooping out the old, dirty bedding and replacing it with this new bedding, I noticed a funky smell..it almost reminded me of cat litter and I couldn’t get over it so I grabbed the bag of new bedding and smelled it. Low and behold the combination smell of cat litter and farm animals hit my nose. I’m not sure how or why this bedding smells like it was picked out of a used animal cage but I’m extremely unhappy as a regular customer.

2024年9月に購入しました。「臭いについての問題を改善した」とメーカーが言っているようなので信用して買いましたが、やはりすごく臭いです🤣飼育ケースがプラスチックケースであるか、金網ケージであるかは関係ありません。商品の袋を開けて、直接嗅いでみるべきです。嫌な匂いがします。商品の固さや質感については不満はありません。動物が穴を掘りやすいし、硬い部分を齧って楽しんだりもしているようです。ただ、臭いの問題だけ解決してほしい。この問題が大きすぎるので、星一つです。臭いの問題が解消されれば星５つですよ。商品を水に溶かすとヌルヌルするのがわかると思います。最初、再生紙の材料の一部であるデンプンなどが悪質なのかなと思いましたが、「バージンパルプ」なのでこの推測は違うようです。ネットの情報によると、もう何年も前のこと、バージョンチェンジされた際に材料に重曹が追加され、これが臭いの原因ではないかということです。

I’ve used carefresh complete natural for my rabbits for many years and it’s the best for absorbency and odour control. I only have to change it once a week, although it’s not a soft bedding, it’s better for litter than bedding in my opinion. It’s also messy if you’re using it with a long haired small pet it will get caught in their hair and mat, I use different bedding for my long hair rabbits.
