Diarrhea? Sensitive stomach? Constipation? Your cat’s gut may need extra support. Daily probiotics to help support digestion, immune health, and healthy litter box habits. Doctor By Cat Biome. Lickable. Reliable. Loved.
Half the battle with any supplement is palatability. If they won’t eat it, the benefits don’t matter. Just squeeze and serve! A specialized formula designed to support gut and digestive health—yet as easy and enjoyable as a treat. Supports healthy digestion, balanced gut flora, and everyday tummy comfort in a way your cat will love.
Lactiplantibacillus plantarum CIB001 is a heat-treated probiotic that helps balance the gut microbiome, relieve diarrhea, and strengthen immunity by supporting the intestinal barrier. It’s designed to survive heat and stomach acid, ensuring its benefits reach the gut where they matter most. We chose this gentle, stable strain in response to cat parents who experienced bloating or discomfort from conventional probiotics—because digestive care shouldn’t come with trade-offs.
Plus, synergistic ingredients like Fructooligosaccharides (FOS), Galactooligosaccharides (GOS), oat fiber, zinc, and magnesium are included to support probiotic function and your cat’s overall wellness.
Principles for Developing Nutrition for Our Beloved Pets: Doctor By focuses on simple daily feeding routines and minimizing stress for both pets and caregivers. Support daily wellness with a gentle, easy-to-feed formula suitable for kittens through senior cats.
Doctor By uses 100% human-grade raw materials, and conducts self-quality tests every three months. There is no gastrointestinal disorder or hepatotoxicity at all, so you can use this consistently every day and without resting period! Manufactured in HACCP- and ISO-certified facilities with careful quality control standards. We value your feedback and welcome your thoughts—please feel free to contact us anytime.

Great tasting probiotic for cats
My cat refuses every probiotic I’ve tried — powders, capsules, treats — but she is obsessed with this Biome probiotic lickable. She eats it willingly and even asks for it, which is unheard of for her.Easy to give, no fighting, and it’s been great for her digestion. This is the only probiotic that’s worked for us simply because she’ll actually take it. Highly recommend for picky cats.

Kitty loves it
It’s pricey, but I believe it’s working. My kitten had to go through a round of antibiotics and was infected with round worms. This product + deworming worked great, no more liquid/soft poo anymore. Also he is obsessed with it and loves the flavor.

Fantastic product!
I bought this because my 6 month old kitten Cinnabun was having horrible smelling gas and poops. After one dose the bad smells were gone! It’s a miracle! I bought 2 boxes and after I use those up we will check to see if it is an ongoing issue. He loves the taste and as for it being difficult to open, I just use scissors 😉. Thank goodness I found this product.

Good just too expensive
Works well. However it too expense for the volume you get. I can get a high quality product at the Vets office cheaper.

Caused worsening diarrhea for IBD cat
My Kitty is a spayed 12 1/2 year old female domestic medium hair. Background: She was born feral but I was feeding her since her mom first brought her litter to me to feed them. I fed her mom for nearly 6 years. Kitty moved in under my barbeque on my balcony before she was 6 months old. She remained outdoors until she got bullied by a local male cat and needed surgery. So she’s been an indoor only cat since 1 1/2 years old.Health history: She loves to eat. A couple years ago, she started vomiting regularly, and then she got bad diarrhea. Proviable paste worked but it came back after the paste was done. Put her on metronidazole and it partially went away then came back. Multiple full panels came back normal. Fecal tests showed no parasites. Referred to Internal Medicine. The DACVIM (IM specialist) did an ultrasound, more extensive panel, and a B Folate test that was overnighted to Texas A&M school of veterinary medicine. Everything came back normal. IBD/IBS (irritable bowel disease/syndrome) is primarily diagnosed through the lack of alternate diagnoses. That also means the cause is undiagnosed and requires trial and error. I tried novel protein diets without luck. Finally the IM prescribed RC Hydrolized Protein adult dry cat food. Kitty’s stool returned to normal, though she did start having hairball vomiting issues. She was always hungry. So I talked to the vet and we tried the RC HP+Satiety, which is supposed to help satiate. Little to no impact. In late 2024, she weighed about 13.8 pounds. November 2025, 11.5 pounds. January 2026, 10.8 pounds. Around August 2025 I increased her food amount to 150%. After the Nov. 2025 appointment, I increased to 200%, yet she still lost 3/4 of a pound in 2 months. We decided to try a different food. First I tried Purina HA adult dry cat, but she got diarrhea almost instantly. IBD cats are typically more sensitive to diet changes. I might have given her too much of the Purina at one time, even tho I did also give the old dry food still (normally you transition for a week, from 25/75, to 50/50, to 75/25 new/old to not shock their system). Started her on Proviable again and then metronidazole, it went from pancake batter to just firm enough to maintain a round tootsie roll shape. But she stopped eating the food with the metronidazole mixed in. It’s bitter stuff so the vet had it compounded for me into tablets that fit in pill pockets. She had only been on the met for 5 dosages out of 14. During the 4 days she was off it while getting it compounded (because weekends), we were down to pudding consistency diarrhea. I got more Proviable but it wasn’t really changing anything.ENTER DOCTOR BY CAT BIOME paste. I gave her this product for 3 days, 2 times a day. She liked it and ate it right up. It looks fine, like pureed chicken with sufficient moisture to be almost more of a gel than a paste. Think Proviable paste but with pureed chicken mixed in. Smells like chicken… Ish. Not an offensive smell. And she loved it.It did not love her.Quickly started seeing little Hershey kisses around the house, where either something was stuck to her rear still after pooping and it dropped off, or she sat down and left it, or she sharted 😅 but she was now between pancake batter and Snack Pak pudding. I stopped the Biome and I stopped seeing droppings around the house. The TL;DR: I have a cat with IBD on a Hydrolized prescription diet. For multiple reasons, the vet and I decided to try a different brand of Hydrolized Protein dry food. My 12yo female IBD cat developed diarrhea from the diet change. Proviable paste helped some but not enough. Metronidazole helped some but not enough. This Biome paste caused worse diarrhea over 3 days if use which improved after stopping this paste. I would not recommend for an IBD cat with dirt transition diarrhea. Also the cost is pretty high, even as a temporary fix. I would double check with your vet first, but first try a kaolin pectolin paste (like Proviable or others, the kaolin is the more important component in most cases), and a Saccharomyces Boulardii probiotic (sometimes called Sacc. Boulardii or just S Boulardii). S Boulardii is a unique yeast probiotic, and while a probiotic, don’t confuse it with bacterial probiotics. It’s not commonly found in generalized probiotic supplements, so you would best search for s or sacc boulardii and leave out the word probiotic.I hope this review helps or educates even 1 person. Please click the button if it did, so I know 🙂 thanks!

Good for Boy cats who might get crystals.
As a former vet tech, I thought this would be great for my cat who has serious issues with crystals at times. It’s not very appetizing according to the cats. But we will keep on using it! Try it! It’s good value as well.

Probiotics that work well for our kitten.
We have a lovely 15 month old Maine Coon kitten that has been having diarrhea issues. We have used Rx from the vet that were somewhat helpful but not entirely. My daughter decided to give this product a try and it is working very well. The kitten loves the probiotics and is doing much better. There is a bit of a learning curve for the cat to eat the product out of the tube and a couple of ours can’t figure it out.
