Excellent crate mat, perfect thickness
I find it hard to believe that I received the same crate pad as these people giving this thing one and two star reviews. This pad is perfect for crate life. It’s not supposed to be the thickness of a dog bed…it’s a pad. And my six months old puppy loves it. He still loves sleeping in his crate and occasionally needs a timeout, and this pad keeps him comfortable during crate time. The size is perfect for my large Retriever brand crate from Tractor Supply. It is a pretty gray and is silky soft with just enough fluff and a non-slip bottom to keep it in place. It has already survived its first washing with no problem. It has also survived some puppy chewing with zero rips. Very durable and well-made and a great value. I highly recommend.

Perfect pad for dog crate! It’s not a dog bed.
This is listed as a crate pad, not a dog bed, so to the reviewers that complain it’s thin, it’s supposed to be thin to fit inside your dog’s crate. Otherwise it would bunch up and be uncomfortable for your dog to sleep on. I’ve used these types of crate pads for years, and even my senior dogs who had arthritis found them comfortable. When you wash them, be sure to balance the load by washing a blanket, towels, or other similar weight items so your washer won’t get out of balance. That’s why some reviews are reporting it was soaking wet after washing – this happened to me, and it was because the load in the washer was unbalanced. Adding a couple of towels to the load solved the problem. If your dog tears it up, that is not the fault of the product!! There’s no crate pad that will survive a chewing dog, so don’t give it bad reviews because your dog destroyed it. Amazon should reject those reviews as they are irrelevant to the product quality. It’s not waterproof, and it’s not advertised as such, so this is not a negative. It’s the perfect size to fit inside my dog’s crate, and he loves it. He won’t sleep on a regular dog bed. He prefers these flat crate pads, even when he sleeps in his playpen during the day. I have tile floors, so it must have enough padding for him to be comfortable, even though it’s fairly thin. I wash it in cold water on a gentle cycle, and dry it on low or air dry. I’ve used crate pads like this for years, and they have held up well.

Thinner than a Different Color
This Gray pad is thinner than the Pink one I previously purchased. Tapping and shaking didn’t fluff it up. It was thin coming out of the package. The Pink one is thicker and came out of the package that way. I really like the pads so the Third one I purchased was another Pink. The Pink ones I use as a bed for my 8 pound Japanese Chin and the Gray one I put on the couch. I’ve washed a pink one once and it washes well. I air dried it. All in all I really like these pads.

Reliable product
Great product. Durable. Soft. Washable. I have purchased about 7 of them. Dogs like them. I toss them on top of other dog beds for easier washing. and dogs snuggle in them. Also use them in kennel.

Thin without padding
Item is soft and has non slip bottom, and the size (47”) was perfect for my 48” crate. BUT, it is very thin. I couldn’t feel any padding and I want my dog to have some. I had to send it back and go with a thicker pad.

The dog loves this mat.
This is a nice, easily washable and dryer-safe mat for the dog crate. We moved and were crating her when we left the house until she got acclimated. She would go to nap in her crate even if we were home and she could sleep on her 6” thick dog bed. She isn’t crated anymore, but she looks for it now that it’s no longer in the crate. Good value and makes our girl happy.

Great size for dog crate

Perfect dog bed. was purchased to use in a crate to bring my dog home. Fit the crate well. I needed a very large size and this one was good quality for the price. It isn’t super thick, but i didn’t want that as it was used in a crate. But because of that is makes it super easy to toss in the washing machine. Have washed it many, many time now, and still going strong.As my dog already has a mat to lay on, i now also use it for extra padding my baby play pen. Perfect thickness without being too bulky or taking up space. Honestly just needed it for the crate originally, but almost a year later, I have gotten my moneys worth! Dog and baby both love! Easy to store when not needed.
