Brightens up the tank instantly and our fish clearly love
We picked this gravel up to refresh our tank and it honestly made a bigger difference than expected. The pearlescent color gives the aquarium a much brighter, cleaner look and really helps the fish stand out, especially under the tank lights. After rinsing and adding it in, our fish were immediately more active, swimming through it, exploring, and even resting near the bottom more than they did before. They clearly seem comfortable with it and are loving the change. The gravel pieces are smooth and a good size, so we haven’t noticed any issues with fin damage or fish avoiding certain areas. It also settled nicely without making the water cloudy once everything was in place.Downside: the gravel is fairly lightweight, so when vacuuming or doing water changes, it’s easy to accidentally suck some of it up if you’re not careful.Overall, this is great quality gravel that looks fantastic and keeps our fish happy. We’d definitely buy it again for another tank.

Perfect for Brightening Up My Aquarium!
I love how the GloFish Aquarium Gravel instantly adds a vibrant, colorful touch to my tank. The pearly finish really makes the colors pop, and it complements my fish beautifully. It’s just the right size—small enough to be safe for my fish but large enough to keep everything in place. The 5-pound bag was plenty for my medium-sized aquarium, and it spread evenly on the bottom without much fuss. I also appreciate that it’s easy to rinse and doesn’t cloud the water.Overall, this gravel not only looks great but also creates a nice environment for my fish. Highly recommend if you want to brighten up your aquarium!

Great/goodcolor/clean
Bought this to replace white sand.Honestly like this better.Went to wash it before hand and had ZERO dust. Which is great! Water was immediately clear even with mixing.Tank looks better after a deep clean. Cloudiness in photo is from cleaning previous debris, not from the rock.

Worth ot
Price is ok. Easy to clean it’s not like the other rocks that still leaves white in water. Once rinsed and cleaned good it doesn’t make water murky. The smell is weird and once put in tank, fishy smell doesn’t leave no matter how many times you wash it. Rocks definitely strong doesn’t break down or apart. Cute.

Clean, and pretty.
This is very clean rock. It didn’t dust up my tank when I didn’t feel like rinsing it at all, it’s actually very pretty and clean looking- my son didn’t want rocks but loved this anyway.

Using for mason-jar garden drainage layer. A good quantity of gravel!
I bought these to use for drainage for a mason-jar garden I have sitting on my glass living-room table. The living room is the only room in the house that has sufficient sunlight to grow herbs, and the table is situated right between two windows that let in all the sunlight. Having the drainage layer prevents root rot. Into each quart-sized, wide-mouthed jar, I put a layer of this gravel topped with a thin layer of colored cabochon stones (red), topped with a layer of charcoal, and then a thick layer of soil mixed with perlite. Fingers crossed! The bag contained plenty of gravel create drainage for six mason jars with about 1/3 of a bag left over.

Like the white pearl

There is chemical residue on this gravel even after rinsing…the water turned milky and a healthy 2 yr old fish died in 24 hours. The gravel is not pearlescent …looks more like a beige crushed coral.
