Excellent product
This cage is perfect for my daughters guinea pig that was just born a week ago. She will get him in another couple of weeks but we wanted to be prepared. She put it together herself and this was the first time she has ever put anything together. She did use my drill with the screwdriver bit for ease. The only problem with the cage when it arrive was the bottom glass has a split crack in the bottom left corner. I made contact with the seller and they responded immediately. They do not offer replacement parts but we already had the cage partially put together when the crack was noticed. So we choose to keep the cage and just try to repair it ourselves with some glass bond. The seller was kind enough to offer a partial refund of the product. I would buy this again. The customer service was amazing.

Good cage but not great for Guinea Pigs
Super cute cage. But I don’t recommend this for guinea pigs. It would be suitable for a couple of hamsters maybe but it would only fit ONE guinea pig at best and it is still the absolute smallest amount of space that is recommended for ONE guinea pig.*Please note that guinea pigs NEED a companion. Our other guinea pig passed away recently and our remaining one bonded to one of our dogs when he was a puppy. Because of these special circumstances, this cage works well enough for what we needed it for. We chose this cage because it is off the ground, is a little less open (smell and debris barrier) and because it had some thought put into the design to discourage chewing. She still chews the lower platform under the ramp as it does not have the metal guard on it. She also chews the inside of the door. Whatever. She’s a rodent. They chew. Even with plenty of other chew options. The lower platform under the ramp is also not secured and she climbs under it and burrows. Of course, she’s too big to actually fit under there so she dislodges it and we have to constantly fix it. We will likely end up either nailing it down or putting some large rocks under it so that she is unable to get under it. The included hidey is also too small for the average adult guinea pig. Ours never used the hidey on the top level so that is not an issue for us but it is something you should keep in mind. We haven’t cleaned it yet so I can’t speak for the ease of that yet. But it looks pretty straight forward. We did, however, tape some cardboard pieces about halfway up the open section of the sides to minimize the amount of hay, feces and bedding that gets kicked out when she burrows and plays. Assembly was pretty simple but I have a quite a bit of experience building furniture like this. The instructions were a bit ambiguous but easily deciferable. My 11 and 8 year olds built the hidey together. They also have some woodworking experience. I’d recommend having a second person on hand to help for a few sections. Also, we could not figure out the support for the roof but it works fine for our needs without it. Overall, the quality and value of the cage itself is good. Even with her chewing it, I think it should last a decent amount of time. It also helps contain the smell and mess and she seems to enjoy her new space.

Guinea pigs
DO NOT get this for a pair of guinea pigs. It is too small and not much room for them to run around. It wasn’t hard to assemble, for the most part I could do it on my own but then had to get help. It has great air flow. I do not recommend this for more than one guinea pig, mine don’t even go to the top and they don’t have much room on the bottom as they should. Two guinea pigs need more space than this gives them, it’s good for one. I like the shelf on the bottom of the cage for storage. This is too difficult to try and clean, had to remove all pieces and eventually take the bottom piece out after getting the tray out. In the process of removing the bottom part, it just fell and poop, bedding and hay went all over my floor. Took it outside to wash off with the hose. The bedding in the tray was nice but there’s a little gap on each side of the tray and in the back that makes the bedding fall in the crevices. I hate this product but unfortunately, I don’t have the box it came in so I’m stuck trying to resell.

Looks great, but…Not chew proof, and not easy to clean.
I bought this cage for my two new guinea pigs. It looks great in my living room, I didnt want an ugly wire cage. It was SUPER easy to assemble, took me and my boyfriend (you need two pairs of hands) about half an hour to fully assemble it. (One note, the instructions dont say which way up the back panel goes, you need to make sure you have the side with the metal ledge the right way up. Having the alphabetic letter (labelling the panels) the right way up is not the way you figure that out! LOL, as some of the letter stickers are just randomly stuck on upside down.) MY guinea pigs have already chewed the edges of the little house, and the wooden prop to keep the lid open, but the main edges with the metal protection is holding up. Its not easy to clean, I was hoping they would just use the bottom tray area, but they kind of poo and pee everywhere so its a bit difficult to clean aqll the ramps and ledges, though the plastic coverings for the ledges does help. Also poo and pee has come out of the cage past the edges of the plastic tray, as obviously it needs to be slightly smaller than the cage in this design to slide in and out. I was also hoping there would be a wire floor that they stood on over the tray, to keep them out of the pee tray, but there is not…so they can stand in the wet wood chips etc…kinda gross.Not the manufacturer’s fault, but delivery was an extra $40 on top of the price which I didnt realize until I went to check out, ugh…and the delivery guy left it at the bottom of my porch steps on the ground, so I had to lug that sucker up the porch stairs ASAP as it was about to rain.

Wonderful alternative to the large hutches you see selling all over the place!
We have one small rabbit that was using a hutch that took up too much room in our utility room. This more compact unit is great. Easier to clean, easier for our 5 yr old to reach the rabbit, and it has rollers so it moves around if needed.
