The Model-P3 is a fully enclosed cage designed for small pets such as hamsters, rats, gerbils, and mice—especially those prone to escaping or chewing. It can be connected with other GuineaLoft cages, including the Model-P4 and P5, the GuineaLoft Standalone Maze, and the GuineaLoft Clear House, using D1 tubes and connector panels to create a large, interconnected play structure for exploration and curiosity. The Model-P3 is also suitable for a single guinea pig that needs to live alone due to bullying, pregnancy, or other reasons. It also serves as a comfortable transport cage when traveling by car or spending time outdoors. Additionally, the Model-P3 can connect with the Model-A, A2, or C2 cages to form an expanded play area for small roaming pets such as guinea pigs and button quails.

The bottom of this cage is not sealed. While bedding and solids won’t leak, liquids may seep through. A water-resistant disposable liner is included to catch any occasional leakage and can be reused several times before replacing. For small pets like hamsters, gerbils, mice, and rats, leakage is rare since bedding absorbs most liquids, keeping the liner clean for long-term use.

The acrylic walls prevent bedding from being kicked out, keeping the area around the cage clean and tidy. In contrast, wire grid cages—though they may seem fine on paper—often have gaps that lead to constant mess around the cage.
Hamsters are avid escape artists, always trying to squeeze through wire gaps. These gaps can bend and snag them, causing distress or even injury. The acrylic panels of our cage do not bend, making them much safer for determined little escapers.
The Model-P3 cage is a fully enclosed unit featuring a thick, fully openable acrylic lid and a fixed bottom. Every part is chew-proof and escape-proof. The lid flips open effortlessly, providing convenient access for feeding, cleaning, and interaction, and can be securely locked using our thumb screws.
Cleaning the Model-P3 is remarkably easy. You can uninstall and reinstall a side panel in seconds. Instead of painstakingly scooping out dirty bedding, simply remove a side panel, carry the cage to a trash bin, and dump the bedding. Reinstalling the panel is just as easy. This is a true game-changer for cleaning enclosed cages like hamster habitats.
ATTENTION: Small animals vary greatly in size and flexibility. We recommend observing your pets to ensure they cannot fit through the Model-P3 ventilation holes, which measure 0.4 inches (1 cm) wide by 1.6 inches (4 cm) high. These holes are typically small enough for most tiny pets. However, if your pets can fit through them, you can block the openings using our Hole Blocker accessory, available from our Amazon store.
