Great food
I’ve been feeding this puppy food to my little one and it’s been great. The kibble size is just right for small mouths, and my pup eats it up without hesitation. I’ve noticed her coat looks shinier and she has plenty of energy. It also seems to be easy on her stomach with no digestive issues. I feel good knowing it has the nutrients she needs to grow healthy and strong. Definitely a solid choice for any puppy owner!

This is a great item for my dog. He really loves it and enjoys eating his food period i’m confessed that I do put a topper on top that is from a another company , but he’s still enjoys the drive food and he’s doing very well with it.

Premium ingredients, my dog picked it when she had a choice, small bites for her tiny size
Boy, feeding this to my new 4-month-old puppy made me feel like I was in one of those dog food commercials comparing ingredients. I ordered a new bag of this after getting a complimentary starter bag from the vet and it arrived a little late so I had to buy another brand locally until it arrived and she was OK with it, but when the new Hill’s Science Diet Puppy Small Bites arrived I offered her two bowls at feeding time and let her pick which one she wanted and she wolfed down the Hill’s Science Diet Small Bites claiming it the winner of the competition. She is a hairless Chihuahua and only 3.2 lbs. so I think she favored the small bites size too – the other was a little bigger. So then decided to compare ingredients and the interim food which was a huge brand name that I bought started right out, just like on TV: ground whole grain corn, chicken by product meal…so I then checked Hill’s Science Diet Puppy and it had: Chicken, Brown Rice, Whole grain wheat, etc. and that was enough to convince me nutrients matter, and my dog made the correct choice, as did I ordering a big bag of Hill’s Science Diet Puppy Premium Nutrition Small Bites from Amazon! It indeed was premium nutrition – and yes, I checked!

a very decent dog food for dog health
my puppy just will not hold on to weight. he has been tested for worms, parasites and basically all kinds of issues. Nothing. He will gain and lose, gain and lose. Vet is constantly telling me he is underweight. he has a very healthy appetite. I noticed when he is on Hills he will gain a little. So my hope is he will gain enough for the vet to stop talking to me like I am starving him! He likes Hills and it doesnt smell bad like other dry dog foods. So far in the 2 months he has gained 2 lbs. That is wonderful. I am not a big fan of packaged dog foods and got a holistic recipe from my previous vet which has all sorts of nutrients, I took puppy off of that and put on Hills. All other dogs are still holistic with no weight issues under or over.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:My puppies enjoy this dog food. It was recommended to me by their vet due to the convenient puppy bite-size pieces it comes in as well as the high quality of ingredients and nutrition it contains. Please note: This brand makes a VERY similar product (same flavor, even) in bulk that you can buy in certain places online. I think I bought it at a “big box” online dog supplies retailer. And I am prettttty sure it said it was for puppies, or had puppies on the front. BUT, if it doesn’t say something like “puppy bite-sized pieces”, beware: the pellets are likely BIGGER than the little ones you’ll find in this bag. At first, I didn’t see it as that big of a deal (even though each kibble was like 3-4 times the size of these little dudes). However, my dogs have a tendency to garble up food too fast and forget to swallow it in the process. This was confirmed to me when they threw up from motion sickness after a car ride one day and I saw tons of unchewed, fully intact kibble pieces that were swallowed whole. And because they were larger in size than the actual “bite-sized pieces” specifically designed for a small puppy’s delicate digestive system, those larger pieces make it more difficult for them to digest the food properly. As a result, I ended up cutting a bunch of their kibble in halves in order to make it easier for them to digest.At any rate, all that to say I really appreciate the actual puppy bite-size pieces that come in this bag on Amazon. Consequently, I am MUCH more comfortable giving my two small toy breed puppies THIS size of kibble over anything larger.
