My dog is addicted to this toy. When it need to be recharged she bring it to me and gives me mean stares if I leave it on the charger too long. She broke the round tip so the rope can’t attach anymore. Great toy to keep your doggy occupied.

Do Not Buy This Item!
This item came US Postal Service. The box that held the toy was badly damaged. But come to find out, the recharge feature did NOT work. When you tried to plug in the adapter to charge it, the adapter would not fit into the recharge point on the ball. I notified Amazon that the dog ball was defective. The vendor then notified me that I should ship the defective ball back to them, but it would be at my own expense. I’m not paying return freight on a defective item. It is going in the trash can.

The process to turn it on and off is a bit challenging. As you have to take the top and bottom apart to do so. Mines threads are hard to match back up. But the dogs do play with it.

Great toy for schnauzers
First off, great motivation toy for our mini schnauzers. The size and movement really engages their prey instinct. That said, these are not perfect:They are hard plastic. The dogs don’t seem to have too much trouble leaving tooth imprints embedded in the plastic. You really need to keep an eye on the toy when it’s accessible to the dogs. The little loop for the rope will break off! It’s just about the right size to be swallowed.The top and bottom separate to get access to the charging port and on/off button. The dogs can accomplish this task, too. Once the inner working are exposed, the dog can pretty much destroy the inner workings of the toy in seconds. Again, keep an eye on the toy when the dogs have it.Some quality issues: the charging port is very cheap, and the charge cord doesn’t stay inserted unless the toy remains absolutely motionless.The top and bottom of the toy are a screw connection. The engagement portion of the screw is not very well designed and it can be very frustrating to get the two halves to align.The rope tied to the toy is a soft 10mm cotton/poly line. It lasts about two or three sessions with the dog before itis a mess of wet, crewed-off segments. We ordered a pack of 10mm double-braid line, cut it into 18″ segments and fused the ends with a lighter. Easy to change out when they have it all pulled apart.Bottom line: we’ve bought these a couple of times already. The dogs love them. They’d probably last longer if it wasn’t schnauzers.

Cute dog toy but not practical.
We dog sit, and so far, out of the two dogs we have had since receiving this, neither has liked it. Both have been afraid of it twirling so fast.Having to take it apart to turn it on or off, or to change the speed, is not a great idea.
