This banana bed is great! The quality is great and the chains and clips to hang it were very sturdy. My sugar glider ( Bean) took to it immediately. I would definitely recommend this banana bed to other sugar glider owners .

Super tiny and way cute! Great if you have a hamster or mouse, but way too small for my pet rats. Not thrilled with the scratchy polyester fabric… it is the type that catches hangnails. Holds up well in the wash though. The inside where the animal would rest/sit is bulky with seams. Not sure if that would bother your pet or not, but something to keep in mind.

I bought this for my male rats hoping it would be big enough but unfortunately it is suuuper small. It is advertised for hamsters and probably able to fit mice also. Super cute tho! I didn’t bother trying to hang it up because of how small it is so I’m not sure how sturdy it is. It looks like it could tip a little bit?I don’t know if mine is missing pieces but it doesn’t seem to have a way to properly attach it to the cage? Also just holding it up with my hands it doesn’t sit in a way that would seem the most safe and sturdy for a pet, I’d atleast keep it at a safe distance from the ground just in case of a slip or fall from it. Not very spacious inside also as the seams are tucked inwards. The fabric has a soft-ish but cheap foam feel. I wouldn’t personally recommend but give it a shot if you’re willing. I can barely fit my hand in it so really only for very small hamsters and mice.

Not Durable for Hamsters
I really wanted to love this Smarten Banana Hamster Bed, but unfortunately, my hamster chewed right through the fabric. It’s cute and cozy, but it doesn’t seem to hold up well to chewing, which is a big concern for me. If you have a hamster that likes to chew, I wouldn’t recommend this product.

Okay, the reason for this rating…. Overall, the toy is very cute and came as advertised. After a few days in the cage with my gliders, I noticed that there were some issues with the construction of this accessory where my gliders were able to chew at the foam material at the edging. For their safety, I did need to remove from their cage. I think this could be an adorable product, I just believe that some of these toys look cute and then you see how it’s made and wonder if it was created with animal safety at top of mind. Other than that, the price was not unreasonable, and it is a cute looking toy. I’d be more comfortable allowing it in my gliders habitat if the construction ensured that there were thicker stitching where it can’t be chewed at.
