If you’re looking for a toy that will be joyfully annihilated in record time, congratulations—you’ve found it. The KATUMO Bird Toy isn’t just a toy. It’s a temporary art installation… followed by a high-speed wood-chipping event hosted by your parrot.My African Grey gives it a solid 3-day inspection before reducing it to rainbow-colored toothpicks. My macaw, however, sees it as a challenge to his shred speed record and pulverizes it in 18 hours flat, like a feathered chainsaw with something to prove.When I walk into the bird room after they’ve “played,” the floor looks like a Crayola lumberyard exploded. Splinters. Everywhere. Colorful, festive, expensive splinters.Pros:Keeps birds happily occupied (and mildly smug).Temporarily satisfies their deep emotional need to destroy.Smells like woodsy ruin and accomplishment.You’ll never need to sweep so often in your life.Cons:You must either be independently wealthy or on a first-name basis with your vacuum.Blink, and it’s gone. African Grey tested and approved!
My African Grey was slow to play with it but once he did he LOVED it! It keeps him entertained for hours. Really holds up well. My only complaint is the o-ring used at the bottom of each chain to keep the blocks on is very flimsy. Once the parrot gets ahold of that the peices will all fall off that particular chain. I have been able to collect the peices when this happens and restring them putting back the o-ring after some reshaping. My Grey usually shreds a new toy in just a few days… he’s been playing with this over a week and its still in good shape. At least half the materials, if not more, have yet to be chewed up and destroyed. Only the little round beads were easily and immediately broken and fell off. The other wood and coconut shells are really holding up well. I will definitely purchase this for my Grey again.. highly recommend!

Bought this as a gift for a family member’s African Grey. He’s a little timid so they hung it to the side for awhile. He got used to it and loved it! At this point only the chains are left, he’s chewed through all the wood lol but they are just going to replace the wood and make it like new! Well made, large enough for an African Grey! And decent price!

I got this for my African grey and he loved it! Of course it didn’t take too long for him to take most of it apart but we still love it. He uses the coconut and bottom wood pieces as a swing! this is my second time purchasing him one and It most likely wont be the last! I recommend this product for greys and other larger birds!

This toy is huge at least 20” as stated and it has everything balls, wooden blocks, rope and half a coconut on top. It is the best toy I have ever bought online for my parrots. I have two birds had to buy two toys.
