Durable and Easy to Clean
I got this mat for a slightly unorthodox purpose: to serve as a base mat for several bonsai plants that I have to bring indoors over the winter. The mat is the perfect size, has a raised lip, and a nice textured pattern that makes it very durable, easy to use, and simple to clean/maintain while offering a waterproof protection to the table the pots sit on. It’s a great value for the price and serves my needs perfectly!

Great as a food bowl mat, but maybe not for a litter box.
I use it as a mat for my dog’s water & food bowls. The lip does keep all spills on the mat, which is great. Our dog is huge and slobbers after drinking but the mat keeps our floor dry—so in this capacity definitely 5 stars! But, as far as it being used as a cat litter mat, I’m unsure. We have a cat and the mat for his litter box has lots more texture than this mat. I don’t know if the texture on this mat would be enough to knock litter off little fuzzy paws, which is why I rated 4 stars.Other notes:It’s silicon so it’s easy to clean, literally take it outside and hose it off. The mat is huge, true to size, so just measure to make sure you have the space.

This thing is HUGE and durable and easy to clean. My kitty didn’t pause when approaching her litter box. She has a big oval box with top entry, and this still has lots of room on all four sides

Not as Easy to Clean
I purchased two of these mats to keep my cats’ litter from scattering all over. I was especially interested in it because it has the lip all around to keep the mess contained. I use pine pellet litter that dissolves into sawdust, and even though it does a decent job keeping the mess on the mat, sweeping or vacuuming it is difficult. The sawdust and pellets get trapped in the corners, so the only way to clean the debris, is to physically shake out or wipe the mat, which is a chore. I don’t want to be doing that daily. The other mat I have (without a lip) doesn’t contain the dust/pellets as well, but a daily sweep and a weekly wipe down keeps it clean. I will say that this mat would probably be great for water and food bowls, because it will keep spillage from reaching the floor.
