It lit up my 40 gallon tank
I wasn’t sure this would be enough light for my 40 gallon tank but it instantly lit it up and I love I can dim it down at night, and the value was wonderful so far it’s good quality too and I didn’t have to spend a ton

Good light but lasts about 6 months
Overall a great light for the price.My aquatic plants have been thriving and the light has been pretty reliable up until today.I purchased 6 months ago and have been using it daily since then and everything has been good up until this morning when I noticed the lights were dimmer than usual.Somehow the casing finally allowed moisture in and there was a thick layer of algae and water build up inside. Unplugged it to clean the plastic cover and while it was fairly easy to disassemble to clean, the wires inside had started to corrode and and no longer worked when plugged back in. Ordered another one today and will try to seal the seams around the casing with a thin layer of silicone and see if that helps it hold up longer. For the price, totally worth it but I dislike the idea of having to replace it frequently and have the old one go to a landfill.

It is really nice for the price. It does not have an electrical plug, but rather a usb plug to be used with a usb-a wall charger block adapter. Dimmer is really nice and makes it easier on the eyes. The controller turns the light on and off. The colors are blending well. Update: I unplugged the usb from the electrical port today and it was burning hot, too hot to touch. I hope it will be okay.. Maybe a better wall adapter might help, I’ll check. 2nd Update: The adapter I was using was too low voltage. It was 6 watts per usb. I upgraded to Anchor 12 watt per usb (24 W total), and it doesn’t get hot anymore. Also the light itself doesn’t get super hot, especially if you dim the brightness a little.

Definitely needs some rethinking
The bars come out of it far too easily and it ends up at the bottom of your tank. Besides issues with the bars/clips the lighting was decent

Timers don’t work on this light, you will have to turn it on every day. Not ideal for a fish or anything else that lives on a light cycle.
