It’s definitely a healthier choice, and our dogs LOVE IT!
The goal is to go grain-free. Dogs don’t need grains, they need meat. So, when I found Nature’s Recipe the ingredients made sense and figured it’s worth a try. And we’re on a budget, so I have to be choosy when it comes to spending. We mixed this with their previous kibble for 2 weeks and gradually got to only Nature’s Recipe. The dogs have adjusted very well. No upset stomachs to speak of, actually only less bloating. They seem to like the flavor more than the previous kibble. And I think they eat less in volume compared to the grain dog food from before. I’ll be buying another bag and might subscribe once we’ve figured out the proper timing.

Quality dog food
I bought this for for my dog having skin allergies with her original food brand. Both my dogs loved the taste right away. So that was great. After several days of the dogs switching brands, I noticed an improvement with my dogs itching. Plus, I couldn’t believe how much the dogs enjoy eating it! It looks very boring and plain, but the dogs are definitely not complaining. I highly recommend this dog food.

Very expensive – but high quality!
I use a service-dog and feed him only grain-free dog food. This is high quality, but very expensive. For the price, I can buy grain-free in store for about 20% less but, Amazon does ship to me same day delivery. Otherwise, the price would keep me from buying this. So gets a 4-star rating due to price.

TMI but I’ve tried several dog foods and this is the only one that eliminated the fish odor and need for frequent vet visits for anal gland expressions on my two dogs!

Don’t need to try anything different
So I did as much research as a I could to make sure I was getting something good for my dogs. And it was hard to figure out which bad reviews of every brand I looked at are from people who simply don’t know that you can’t only feed your dog grain free dog food as grain free is meant to be a topper or mixed with something else. And many luxury dog food brands have lead in them. So I browsed and browsed, read countless reviews. And I settled on a few. This was the cheapest of the few I chose so I went with this one first. I stretch it out using a lower quality dog food, something without food dyes, and my dogs will eat Nature’s Recipe first out of their bowls and no one has gotten sick. Their stool is more uniform and I think they’re overall healthier. I bought this cuz I love my dogs and I know their main diet should be meat. The first ingredient in this kibble is meat which is just what I was looking for. I also give my dogs a cheap vitamin and probiotics for their seasonal allergies (very common in all dogs). Medium Value Grain-Free Food For Large Breeds
After trying many GF foods that my dog turned her nose up at, I finally brought this one home. My dog got excited and ate it like it was candy. It is a middle of the road GF option, not as expensive as some foods but neither is it cheap. My American Bulldog goes through a 24 lb bag every month. It can be hard to find in the large breed as some stores stopped stocking it.This only comes in 2 flavors- chicken and salmon; and my dog hates any fish! She should not be eating chicken either per the vet, but the rest of the family wants to afford to eat too!For a large breed food the pieces are pretty small. My large dog barely has to chew it and most she just swallows whole I think.The largest size bag I can get in the store is the 24 lb bag. Approximately $51 a month. Sometimes i will buy online if I can get a free shipping code.
