My betta loves this food, tiny pellets!
I found this food recommended online as one of the betta fish foods that was higher quality as far as ingredients. I decided to purchase it and rotate it in with his other foods. The pellets are teeny-tiny, which is great, because my betta gobbles them up with no issue. I can tell the fish food is fresh because it does has an aroma when you open the can. So glad to find this food, and my betta is glad, too.

Best food by far
My betta, Charles absolutely loves this food. And I can tell he’s much happier with it. He’s getting to be an old fellow so I wanted to up his food quality and give him something good for the remainder of his life.I do agree with the other reviews that the pellets are very small, however I don’t see it as a problem personally. I just gently pinch about 10 between my fingers and gently roll them off into the water. I actually think I prefer the smaller size because they travel faster over the water and he seems to really like chasing them. It’s probably way more comfortable for him to eat the smaller stuff anyway since he doesn’t have to open his mouth as wide. Also, I haven’t noticed them sinking, so I’m really happy about that since I wasn’t sure if I’d have that issue when I purchased. 🙂

Good Supplemental Feeding for Baby Bettas
Generally, too small for adult Bettas but good for juvenile Bettas in addition to Brine Shrimp. My fish never complain about their food. :-)Remember, Bettas don’t need much food. One granule a. couple times daily is sufficient for growing Bettas. One granule of larger size Betta food for adult Bettas.I usually feed juvenile Betta 1 granule daily and then 1 feeding of brine shrimp separately in another feeding.Bettas have tiny stomachs and do not expend a lot of energy. They’re beautiful lazy fish that casualty float about so less feedingbis healthier and keeps the tank cleaner too.

Perfect size for my new veil tailed betta. He seems to have an unusually small mouth. He could not figure out how to eat regular sized pellets, or even flakes. He ate these immediately and easily. They are a decent size to grab with your fingers.This cuts down on work because he eats every single one of them, thus keeping the tank cleaner.So glad I I didn’t have to invest a lot of energy in this.They’re not too small for a larger betta either.Here’s a tip. If you can’t grab the right amount, use a damp toothpick to pick up the amount you want. Then dip the toothpick in the tank water.

Excellent small pellets
Excellent food, and my Betta took to it right away. The small pellets are perfect for him, as he struggled to eat “normal” sized pellets for adult Bettas.

I was looking for small but this is too small. Too small for my very small betta. The smell is terrible but my picky betta was attracted to the smell but only tried it a few times then decided he didn’t like it. The ingredients are superb and I’m sure it is a great product but I’m not sure if it was just too small or if it was the taste but my betta says, “No thank you.” Texture could have been the issue, too, I’m not sure.

Excellent quality food!
This betta food is made of very high quality ingredients. My betta loves it. The problem is the size of the pellet. In this case .5 mm or .75 mm. This is a bit small. I was expecting 1mm. The next size up is the regular size with pellet siz 1 mm to 1.5 mm. These pellets seem more like 2 mm and I have to feed my betta fewer pellets..like one or two soaked in tank water. I do NOT want my betta to get bloat or get constipated. I wish the sizing was more precise.

I bought these for my new betta, Angel, who was really tiny when got him and had trouble eating larger pellets. Angel seemed to like them at first, so I ordered a second bottle to have on hand once the first bottle went stale.I think he only ate them at first because he was so skinny he was basically starving (shame on the pet store I got him from). Now that he’s healthy and well fed, he now spits all of these pellets out, and only eats Fluval Bug Bites that I split up up for him.Instead of tossing them, tried feeding them as a supplement to my minnows, but that made their water smell fishy.Since I can’t return the used or unopened bottles, I’ll probably give away the opened and sell the new one to someone else locally who can use them.I’m really disappointed, as the nutrition is good in these.

My betta eats them up! They are a little on the small side, so if you have a betta that does’nt like big pellets these would be perfect for them.
