Soft and great for my mouse
The bag is a lot larger than I had expected, which was a nice surprise. It’s nice and soft and not dusty. I’m using it for my mouse. After three days his cage doesn’t smell at all, so I can confirm this is good for odor control.

Soft and fluffy, amazing bedding
This is by far my favorite bedding to use for my mice. It is very soft, fluffy and my mice love to burrow with it and will carry mouthfuls around their cage to fill their hides with it. I mix some soft paper based bedding with this for my girls, but this is a wonderful substrate for my boys and helps control their odor since they naturally have a stronger scent. This controls odor very well, and has the benefit of feeling comfortable like paper based bedding. I usually have used carefresh or soft and cozy bedding, but those are definitely a bit dusty. This would be great to use for small animals that are prone to / are recovering from respiratory infections, and would be great to use for small animals that are nesting or caring for their young. For the quality, I think the price is reasonable. I love the company and find that all of their products so far have been superior to the other brands I have tried, I highly recommend them!

Softest Aspen shavings ever!
I just unboxed and used my first order of this Aspen Shavings from Niteangel. I was incredibly impressed. I have three hamsters two syrians and one winter white. Each of course have their own cages. I have a black Syrian, Beckett who lives in a converted detolf. This is who I am using these shavings with first. My other two hanky’s are at my school, Baxter, another Syrian in a 48x20x20 prolee and Bodie, my winter white friend in a 40 gallon breeder. I currently use all kinds of bedding. I have tried tons of different kinds of bedding, and when it comes to paper bedding, my absolute favorite is cleaning and cozy. There’s no doubt about it. It’s just a higher-quality now as far as Aspen this is the best I have ever tried to often Aspen can be pretty rough and these little guys are very sensitive with their bodies. Actually, this Aspen, however, is a game changer. It is incredibly soft, very small shavings wand beautifully holds burrows. There’s no doubt about it because when you compress it, it really stays tight but yet it doesn’t lose that softness I cannot imagine ordering any other Aspen ever. I think going forward for all of my hamsters. I want to use this Aspen, combined with cleaning, cozy, combined with Coco core and also other specialized bedding like the white tea, bedding, and such like that bedding can be expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for in this area this and food. When it comes to hamster bedding, hamster, food, and larger cage, accessories, you really do get what you pay for.

Only Aspen bedding I will buy
This is the best aspen bedding I have ever purchased. The other reviews are what sold me and they aren’t lying! My hamster is longhaired and this rarely gets caught up in her hair like paper bedding. It’s so soft, no sharp bits, and helps her burrow well. I will only be buying this one from now on.

Strong Smell But Works Great
I mostly liked this Aspen bedding, finding it a great value compared to other brands, and I liked the bag’s size. It functions perfectly inside the tank, allowing my gerbils to easily create tunnels in their cage, and has a very nice appearance. It isn’t sharp like other kinds I have seen, feeling, in some ways, more paper-like, which my gerbils have loved since they can easily carry it around to their preferred little hiding places. It has been durable enough to survive them so far, and it really spreads out nicely. My only complaint is that it does have a very strong smell, which is the only reason I am iffy about getting it again. It isn’t horrible, just a bit stronger than I personally like, but it doesn’t bother the gerbils (which his likely the most important part).

This bedding is the only way
This is the only aspen wood I ever use for my pets! I have had, and currently take care of, a lot of rodents! I’ve turned my nose up at a lot of bedding! Aspen is a super absorbant material but it is often not well processed and certain sellers will sell you dangerous products for your babies! Not niteangel though! This stuff is so well made, or I guess deconstructed(?) That it is incredibly soft, and fluffy and allows your little friend to burrow and make dens in! A little goes a long way, so while it may seem expensive at first glance you’ll find you dont need to buy 50 packs to fill a cage. I keep my gerbils in a 75 gallon tank and I don’t even use the whole large bag for a cage cleaning, so it will fill a lot of space! It’s also completely natural and not dyed with any dangerous materials!

The softest sawdust I’ve ever used. A little expensive for the amount that you get, so in terms of value it could have a better price point, but it’s also worth it to have a happy hamster! I don’t notice excess dust at all so it seems safe, it smells nice, and the quality is really fantastic! You just don’t get much for your money, wouldn’t fill the required 10 inches of substrate in a 100×50 cage, but would fill a small digging area over several clean outs.
