About Omega One
In 1998 in Sitka, Alaska, two brothers invented and patented the process of making fish foods directly from wild-caught, fresh Alaskan seafood. Omega One LLC, the company, was founded, and Omega One, the brand, was introduced. This revolutionary concept broke the mold in a 40-year industry, providing hobbyists with a brand of unsurpassed quality and nutrition. Unlike other fish foods on the market, you will see that there is no fishmeal in our foods. Instead, we use Alaskan seafood such as salmon, herring, and shrimp for our protein sources. These ingredients, rich in natural fats and proteins, are purchased direct from sustainable Alaskan fisheries.

From the Sea to the Shelf

THE INGREDIENTS MATTER
Omega One increases fish immunity. It is made directly from superfoods like salmon and herring, which are loaded with Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids. These essential fatty acids provide energy and strengthen the delicate fish immune system, leading to decreased rates of disease and mortality.

MEAL-FREE NUTRITION
Omega One fish foods are meal-free and made from the freshest cold-water proteins. When you start with raw, unprocessed proteins like we do and cook them just once, they naturally bind together creating an impenetrable bond, leaving your aquarium cleaner.

NATURAL COLOR ENHANCEMENT
Our ingredients contain a high level of naturally occurring pigments called beta-carotenes. With nearly a 100% transfer rate to the skin of ornamental fish, these beta-carotenes will restore the true colors of your fish, making them as vibrant as they are healthy.

Freshwater Flakes
Delicious recipe of fresh, cold water seafood blended specifically to enhance the levels of Omega 6 fatty acids. Omega 6 fatty acids are extremely valuable to freshwater species for strong immune systems and cell wall development. Low ash and higher quality proteins mean less pollution in the tank.

Super Color Cichlid Pellets – Floating
Small, medium, and large pellets for all types and sizes of cichlids. Offer superb color enhancement, with unsurpassed nutrition and palatability.

Garlic Marine Flakes
A nutritious mix of seafood ingredients is combined with the optimal amount of spirulina to make this an excellent diet for the community saltwater tank. A strong Omega 3 Fatty Acid profile supports the delicate immune systems of saltwater fish while garlic provides incredible palatability and parasite resistance.

Goldfish Flakes
Omega One Goldfish Flakes are formulated with higher levels of quality proteins and fats than other goldfish foods. This recipe contains a strong Omega Fatty Acid profile, which has been shown to be beneficial for growth and long-term health. Fresh ocean kelp provides critical nutrients and aids in digestion.

Best flakes
Fish love these flakes. Plus it doesn’t make your aquarium all fogging. Good size container that will last a long time. Definitely cheaper than buying it from the pet store.

Highly Recommended for Your Fish.
I raise a number of colorful guppies and and several groups of Endler live breeder. In addition many colorful shrimps and have found that this food works best in helping them all stay healthy and in full color. If you have colorful fish and wish to keep them healthy and help them keep their colors, I highly recommend this food for all your fish. I don’t use anything else as far as flake food.

#1 flake food for my fish; their preference
Out of all my fish flake food. This one is the most eaten for golfish, danios, loaches. They seem to go nuts when I feed this vs any other flake food.

High protein with mainly fish as ingredients !
This food is really great for bringing out the red color of my barbs and tetras. Most of my fish are omnivores that do best with a mix of plant and meat based ingredients. This food is almost all meat, so I only feed it a few times per week and Tetra Color Plus flakes the rest of the time. Whenever I move a pair from my 55 gallon tanks to a separate 10 gallon tank for breeding, I switch them to just this food until they have spawned. The shift to this food has been enough to condition them so I no long mess with buying or raising live food for them when conditioning for breeding. It does not contain copper as a preservative, so I also feed it to my freshwater shrimp once per week. Since the shrimp are primarily algae eaters, I feed them pellets that are lower protein the remainder of the week. Since I began supplementing the shrimp’s food with these flakes, they have also had improvements in color and breeding rate as well.If you have carnivores that will take flakes, this food’s top ingredients are Salmon, Halibut, and Shrimp, with wheat flour and Kelp being the lesser ingredients for carbs, fiber, and vitamins. The large 5.3oz lasts me a long time, so I keep the container in my freezer and take out enough to last a month or so into a smaller container. The cost per ounce for the 5.3 oz container does not cost any more than lower quality foods in small containers.

Does a great job with color
These are great value for the money. For about this price, at my local store, I get something that is maybe 1/2 this size. I have always found these flakes to be a bit stiffer than normal flakes, but it doesn’t really matter much since I always use my fingers to grind them up smaller. I have fish of all different sizes and my white cloud minnows have little fry on occasion so I want to make sure it is super small. I have not found ANY bones in mine. Just the stiffer flakes.I have been using this brand for over 10 years and never have had any problems with them. I have done both pellet and flakes. I like the flakes better because the pellets can be too big for little fry. If you are concerned about possibility of bones, since I notice that is a complaint on some reviews, shake the bottle back and forth while upside down. As with cereal the bigger pieces will rise to the top (since the bottle is upside down that would technically be the bottom of the container) this way only the food will be on the top when you flip it around the correct direction.

Flakes a
The flakes are very inconsistent in size. There are very large pieces that are very hard and the fish can’t eat it.

Fantastic My Fish Love It
Sonia Kos –
My fish love this food, it lasts a good while and keep their colors nice. The only thing is it’s very powdery very small bits of flakes. But they eat up majority of it. A little goes a long way.
Joan Connelly –
The fish like it and it is a large container for the money. I have ordered more. I have a lot of tanks and a lot of fish. But great product! Well worth the purchase.
