Great Product using it 6 Years
I have used this food for at least 6+ years and my parakeets always ate it no problem. Never had birds sick after eating. My last parakeet made it 9+ years and I attribute to feeding them this food. I rarely partner fresh veggies with their diet but if I did I feel my parakeet would have lived longer. I wanted to leave a review thanking them for the years of always selling a solid bird food.

My budgie really liked it
It was very good. My birds ate it well. The seeds are small enough it could be used for larger finches as well. Nice variety of seeds; not just mostly white millet. I keep the main bag in the fridge and decant about a weeks supply into a glass jar. Stays fresh like that. Very clean, pleasant smell, easy to use. Good value for money. Refrigerate the main bag, helps maintain all good qualities for longer

Decent but Volkman is better now and best value
Seems like really good seed, but I have to say that Volkman has stepped it up and improved quality, freshness, and ingredients from just 6 months ago. Now I choose Volkman over Dr. Harveys and Kaylor-made. I’d rather spend the extra money on organic sprout seeds for small birds from the Sprout People than throw away Harveys (mix has changed in 6 months between batches received). Comparison photo shows Volkman top left, Kaylor top right, and Harveys at bottom. Kaylor seed doesn’t have the variety Volkman does and with the new Harveys mix, most was not getting eaten and was wasted.

Best food for budgies and finches!
This is the best parakeet food out there. My parakeets and finch love it.
Always Hopeful –
Great product, but with product photo issues
I love this product and can’t imagine buying any other food for my seed-only budgies, since the vitamin/mineral supplement is sprayed onto the seeds so the birds can’t avoid it. (I tried to add fresh fruits&veg’s but they were already two years old when they reached me. They also won’t eat pellets, even mixed into seed.)I have to point out the product photos don’t match between the ‘title’ page/list page/search results page and in the actual ad; this is both annoying and confusing. Plus the photo on the ‘title page’ (and even hear on the product feedback page) is an old design which looks an awful lot like another Kaylor of Colorado product, so again, annoying and confusing. What was I actually buying?? Happily, what arrived is what I wanted, Kaylor’s Sweet Harvest Parakeet food (which includes dried veggies — and which the birds don’t eat anyway, but it makes me feel better…). The photos in the ad and on the ‘My Orders’ page match correctly to what arrived. The photo on the ‘title’ page/list page/ search results page is the old package design.

Good for cockatiels too
I feed this to my cockatiels because they don’t like sunflower seeds and this does not have sunflower seeds in it. I’ve been buying it for several years now and no issues so I definitely recommend it.

Sweet Harvest Bird Food is what the breeders use!
Hi, I’ve been using Sweet Harvest Parakeet Bird Seed for sometime. It was actually recommended by my bird vet and sold there as well. When I first adopted my parakeet he was already eating the Sweet Harvest, and I wanted to keep him on the same food. I have since gotten two more parakeet’s I inherited from a family member who passed away, and now I’ve switched them over to the Sweet Harvest as well. They were on a cheap parakeet seed that was sold many years ago when I got my first bird. They all seem to really love it and I just add some small fruit pellets to the mix for extra nutrition. I have been purchasing my food from the same seller for quite sometime with very good service! No complaints on the food or the seller!!
