Fit depends on tank lid
It works really well for my tank, which is 20gallons. It’s only been in for one day and the tank is very clear. It fits okay, really depends on what type of lid you have. The noise isn’t too bad, just have to adjust it to your liking. So far it seems fairly durable and not to hard to clean.

It doesn’t make much noise once you fit in an air stone which wasn’t /easy/ to do but totally doable. The suction and capability of this filter all depends on your air pump. It’s a good value, I had all the tubing and necessities already and definitely didn’t need more when I just wanted the bare bones sponge filter and this delivered. The bottom is weighted enough it doesn’t float. Appearance wise, it’s taller than it is wider so for flashier fish tanks you’ll have to have taller decor to hide it behind. Great filter overall. I use sand in this tank and the fine mesh was nice to clear up cloudiness

It’s so cute and skinny thay I can easily hide it behind some of my longer plants and it does it’s job so well. My tank is still so clean after even the whole month. When I had to do my water change for the month, it was still so clean! Great performance and such an easy install. Not too much noise either but that’s mostly on the pump.

Works perfectly with 15-20 gallon tank. We have multiple guppies and pattys, the tank always look clean. I barely notice any noise. Easy to use, just make sure it’s completely submerged.

Similarly sized sponges are nearly twice as much from other companies. This sponge is particularly dense though. It took a bit of effort to continually wring it out underwater to get it fully saturated and remain on the bottom of the tank.Note that manufacturers will generally overrate the filtration capacity of all filters. Unless you’re using this as a secondary filter, you should probably go one size above the listed capacity.The other thing that I would recommend is to use an air pump that has an adjustable air flow pressure. A standard air pump that’s not adjustable could push air through too quickly or not enough. The air pump that I was using caused a very fast flow of bubbles hitting the surface and a lot of splashing. I had to put a splitter on my pump to reduce the air presure.

I started a nano tank (7 l). It’s been cycling for a week and the water stays really clean. I added some fish food to build beneficial bacterias, i planted it a bit using only non washed technical soil and had no murky water at all. Let’s hope it will keep on the good way once more plants and the shrimps will be in.Finger crossed

Great sponge filter – works well just as it’s supposed to for small nano tanks, I currently am actively using it in a 5 gallon tank! Please don’t forget that it does not come with an air pump ! But anyways – the noise level can be adjusted with the air pump / air valve, or whatever the name of that little accessory is called. It’s extremely easy to clean as well as a great value for money! I highly recommend this filter to anyone who has an air pump or is willing to buy one.
