Engaging and Natural Silvervine Sticks for Cats – A Hit with My Fosters!
1. PROBLEM I WANTED TO SOLVEMy two foster cats, Fuzz and Baby Girl, have been a bit bored lately, and I was looking for something that could engage them while also supporting their dental health. With them being indoor cats, it’s important to find stimulating toys, and the Potaroma 3 Pack Natural Silvervine Sticks seemed like a perfect solution. Plus, I’d heard great things about Silvervine being even more enticing than catnip, so I was curious if this would catch their attention and help keep their teeth clean.2. DID IT SOLVE THE PROBLEM?Yes, with mixed results! Fuzz immediately went for the Silvervine Sticks, batting them around and chewing them within seconds of the package being opened. He seems to love the texture and scent, which keeps him entertained for a solid amount of time. His usual bursts of energy were redirected into rolling around and playing with the sticks, which was a pleasant surprise. Baby Girl, on the other hand, wasn’t as interested at first but eventually started licking and nibbling on the stick after a few days, which gave her a little extra mental stimulation. As for the dental benefits, I can’t say I’ve noticed a significant difference just yet, but I imagine it helps by keeping their teeth busy and encouraging chewing.3. OTHER DETAILSThe pack comes with three sticks, each infused with Silvervine and Catmint, so there’s a good variety of scents that seem to appeal differently to each cat. The sticks are durable, though Fuzz managed to wear one down pretty quickly with how hard he chews. The natural blend of Silvervine and Catnip is great for my cats who tend to get bored of the same old toys.I also appreciate that the sticks are all-natural and safe for them to chew on—knowing there are no harmful chemicals in these toys adds peace of mind. The packaging states that the blend and appearance may vary, and this was true for my package, but it didn’t affect the experience for my cats.4. WOULD I BUY IT AGAIN?Absolutely! While Baby Girl took longer to warm up to the sticks, Fuzz has had a blast with them since day one. It’s a simple, affordable way to keep them entertained, and I like that it doubles as something beneficial for their dental health. I’d also recommend this product for households with multiple cats, as each cat’s interest level may vary, and having three sticks allows them to share without fuss.5. ADDITIONAL INSIGHTSIf you have a picky cat like Baby Girl, you may need to introduce the sticks a few times or try rubbing a little catnip on them to spark interest. Fuzz, who is more easily entertained, took to them right away, so it may depend on your cat’s personality. I’d also suggest supervising during the first few uses to ensure your cat chews safely, as the sticks can get worn down over time.VERDICTFor the price and quality, these Silvervine Sticks are worth trying, especially if your cats are fans of catnip or need some extra stimulation. I’ll definitely be keeping these around for my foster kitties and rotating them with other toys to keep things fresh.

My new fur baby LOVES these!!
In searching for the things my newly adopted cat might like, I gave these a try. She has shown some interest in catnip so this seemed like a good option. These are inexpensive, well -made, and encourage active play and bonding. She can enjoy these alone (but supervised) or I can engage with her using these. She was IMMEDIATELY interested in this. She has been cautiously curious about anything else I have introduced before these. She immediately rubbed against it, chewed on the raffia and played with it. She enjoys snuggling with it, tracking it and hunting it. She goes back to it often. After using it and rubbing on it, she has a short burst of playful energy followed by relaxation. She is more open to bonding activities like brushing her. If you are on the fence about these, it is completely worth a try. With 5 of them in a pack, these will last a very long time. This was our first experience with silvertine so we can’t compare it to other products like it.

Better than regular catnip, long-lasting obsession
I bought these silvervine sticks for my cats because regular catnip only holds their attention for a few minutes — and these were an immediate hit.How we use them:My cats have had these since 12/25, and they still go crazy for them every time I take one out. I usually give them a stick during playtime or when I want to redirect chewing, and they immediately start licking, chewing, and rolling around with it.What I love:Much stronger reaction than standard catnip for my catsKeeps their interest long-term (weeks later and still exciting)Encourages chewing, which seems helpful for teeth and gumsNatural ingredients — no mess or powder everywhereEach stick lasts a surprisingly long timeMinor cons:The sticks can get a bit wet/slimy after heavy licking (normal, but worth noting)Not all cats respond the same — one of mine is obsessed, the other slightly less soComparison:Compared to regular loose catnip or catnip toys, these hold my cats’ attention much longer and don’t lose their appeal after the first few uses. They also don’t create a mess like loose catnip does.Bottom line:If your cat doesn’t react strongly to regular catnip or gets bored quickly, these silvervine sticks are absolutely worth trying. Mine still act like it’s brand new weeks later.

Kitty enjoys it
I don’t know how these will go in the long run but our cat who is still a kitten at heart liked playing with it. I don’t remember if I didn’t read the info or this advice wasn’t in the info but only allowing the cat to play with something maybe three times a week is kind of a pain. She loved it initially but has played minimally since then. So maybe there is something to it but who has time to track how often your pet is playing with specific toys? I don’t. I do hope it will help with cleaning teeth over time but we’ve not had it long enough to know yet. But she did enjoy the play time she has had with it.

My tiny longtailed bobcat ignores them.
I’m sure these would be great for a younger more playful cat, but my little wild thing had no interest in them whatsoever. Unfortunately, she’s a killer; nothing satisfies this little monster unless it’s screaming and running for its life. She is a feral rescue. Brutal. I guess I’m giving these away. 😩

My cat is OBSESSED 🤩
I would give 100 stars if I could. I use to order another brand they compromised the quality so I thought to try this brand. My cat is going NUTS! I got these because they are also suppose to help with dental. 🦷 The sticks are well made and the string is securely attached. They are thick but not in a bad way. Excellent price for the item. I will definitely purchase these again in the future
