Happens to be a hit 🙂
It’s always hit or miss whether a cat will like a toy but thankfully both the boys enjoy this one! If you have a cat who likes attacking your hands/feet under the covers, then it would be very surprising if they did NOT love this toy. It’s the same thing. My younger cat loves doing that, so I figured he’d like this, and heck yeah he does. He even likes resting next to it (as pictured) before he gets his next energy burst.This toy is great if you have some cats that are more active than the others and need to burn more energy. My older cat likes to play with the younger, but he likes lighter play and gets bored faster which the younger one doesn’t understand. This tires out the little one and keeps him from bothering his older brother too much, who mostly just wants to chill and watch birbs. He finds it entertaining to watch little bro pouncing and chasing the toy when it’s covered. He himself likes to do the lazy overstimulation thing where he rolls around near it and attacks it when he feels like it.We’ve had other chaser toys in the past but I think this one is the best so far. The rubber material gives really good grip on non-carpeted floors and does get some good speed. The traction also keeps it from getting stuck on rugs and carpets, which it definitely won’t go as fast on.The boys really like the chirping and different kinds of movements. It seems like it moves a little differently compared to other chasers. It does indeed try to plow stubbornly through obstacles but not as much as others I’ve seen. Other times it will bump into something then bolt in the opposite direction. It seems like it runs then comes right back sometimes? It’s also good at running under furniture that’s tall enough, which the cats love. Overall it just seems to have slightly different programming than similar kinds of toys.As long as this toy holds your cat’s interest — and I think it would, because they can both hunt (with cover) and chase with the ability to capture (without cover) — then this should be able to meet just about any level of activity needs. An interested cat will likely go after it as long as they have the energy.I like to let them start by hunting with the cover, then let the toy run around so they can get the satisfaction of a catch.Other good things: the floofy ring around the outside doesn’t get caught in the toy, and if any kind of hair gets caught then you can take it apart pretty easily with a tool they give you.I update my reviews if things change, but so far so good. Battery life is good and two hour charge time. I’ll update once I get a better feel for how it works overall. Here’s hoping the kitties stay into it and that yours would like it too. It’s a unique toy if anything so your cat won’t be able to say you never got him/her anything new and cool.

Well made cat toy. I think a puppy might like this too. My older cat really likes this toy. It’s the only one that she has continued to be interested in.The toy is well worth the money. The ball is sturdy, rolls like crazy independently, all over the place. It flutters and has an additional feather to use for extra fun when not using it in the bag. The bag is tough and crinkles. The ball is rechargeable which is great and turns to a resting mode when on but not being played with. Over all a great toy.

Wonderful Interactive toy for my very intelligent and playful cat!
My cat has been playing with this Play Mat for the past 30 minutes. She finally tired out and has laid on the floor next to it. The toy has gone quiet for now, but it will reactivate if she touches it. After about 5-6 minutes, the thing has started lighting up again, If she jumps on it, I believe it will wake up and the fun begins again. My cat LOVES to play and I usually have to spend 15-20 minutes waving around a wand with ribbons on it at least two or three times a day. I am more than excited to find this interactive play mat to keep her busy. I’m not actually getting back to work though as she’s so much fun to watch playing with it.

Good, but plastic is cheap
The toy is great and my cats quickly took to it. They’ve walked away a couple of times, but the sound and movement keeps bringing them back! It comes with a charging cord as well.The play mat, however, is very thin and cheap. Our one cat has already put (small) holes in it from her claws and teeth.

Best cat toy. My cat loves it.
I have a 10 month old orange kitten that is hyperactive & curious. He has destroyed and broken several things by jumping, climbing and running crazily through the house so wanted a toy that would hopefully tire him out a little. This is perfect! He has played with it from the beginning. Have had it a week and he still loves it. At first I kept it on green mode but the battery only lasted a few hours, so I put it in yellow mode. That helped a lot. It is only active while my cat plays with it then it goes to sleep mode, waking up periodically by chirping & spinning to get his attention. It works most of the time. I think he gets tired now & sleeps during this wake up call. He runs & jumps on it sliding across the floor. He pounces on it, bites it and sometimes he just watches it move around. At least he is being entertained. I like that the ball can also be used by itself & run around the house. I don’t use the ball by itself because my cat will take it to places where I can’t find it so it stays inside the mat. The mat is durable because he paws and tries biting it but still looks great. It is very lightweight and so he does move it around the room when he pounces on it. After playing with it awhile, I usually have to get it away from the wall and spread it out again. But I don’t mind doing that. At first I was worried if the chirping noise would be too loud or irritating but it isn’t. It is fine and really just loud enough to get his attention. In the yellow mode the battery lasts awhile. I have only let it go without charging for 2 days but it still had life when I took it out to charge so it would go longer. I want him to enjoy it as much as he wants during the day so it is charged at night. The first day I had this he played with it so much he was exhausted at the end of the day. This is a great toy to have for your cat. My 7 yr old cat has even started playing with it. It takes him awhile to warm up to things but I guess he sees the kitten enjoying it so decided to play too. I highly recommend this toy.

Problematic but fun for a little while
Cats only had a marginal interest for a month or so in the whole thing. They are obsessed with the ball itself, though. Unfortunately, not only does the ball get stuck, it picks up everything so it’s clogged constantly unless your floors are pristine, and my kittens were able to take the little fuzzy band off the ball right away, and that seems swallowable so I’m not thrilled.

Amazon first sent me a parcel with missing parts. After I contacted the seller they sent me a replacment within a week. My cats also love the toy.
