Cuttlebones are a staple for pet birds of all sizes. They promote good beak health and keep beaks and nails trimmed. Bones are a natural product and, as a result, can vary in shape and size. When hanging the cuttlebone, attach it to the interior vertical sides of your bird’s cage. Do not place it on the bottom rack or let it rest on the floor of your bird’s cage. Remove immediately if any piece becomes loose or detached. Cuttlebones may have sharp edges when broken. It is recommended to inspect bird habitat accessories daily. Replace as needed.
