Very sturdy
The cage is a bit on the smaller end but good for short distance travel. I took my Quaker parrot to have his wings clipped and the person who took him commented on how sturdy the cage was. She said that most were flimsy and the door would fall open. This one stays shut. We are very satisfied with the purchase.

Great for Short Trips
Great buy – super sturdy and easy to assemble. You can easily accommodate a small/medium sized pet and perhaps even a little food or water cup. I was able to put two of my parakeets (Budgies) into the carrier for a trip to the vet and they were able to move around without being on top of each other. I believe this is the most this carrier could hold comfortably. I wasn’t able to fit any food or water cups in there with the birds because it would be too cramped. Please consider how long your trip will be – anything over 2 hours is too long and you should definitely consider a larger carrier.

Nice little cage.
Cute cage, nice size to put my cockatiel in when taking her to get her wings clipped. Cage to small for her to use the perch so took it out. For the price, ok and works for what I need it for.

Too small
It’s too small for a grown cockatiel. A parakeet (maybe even a hamster) can move around easily. I tried it once on Meringue, and the poor kid couldn’t even fully turn with her long tail feather.

DO NOT BUY .. CHEAP AND HARD TO OPEN
Even though this is just a traveling cage for your bird, I would not recommend it to anyone! The sides that are to unlock / open are impossible to do and you feel any minute it is going to snap/break. The door as well is hard to open and close. I would not advise carrying by handle as it is not trustworthy. Spend a few extra dollars to get something better and safer for your bird and you!!

Better than I thought
Ok, I have to say I was a bit worried that it wouldn’t hold up. This little cage is perfect for a short trip. I had to move my son’s parakeet only a few miles and I was so worried he would be scared to go into the cage. That little bird was so super happy it was not funny. I held up the cage when I was at stoplights so he could see out as he was so excited. He was not scared at all and did not act like he was confined. I did put the shredded paper down and I suggest that you put the cage in the bird’s sight for a few days so he/she can see it. He saw me tear apart paper and put it in and I even gave him some of the paper to rip apart. I think to be able to see the cage made him feel more comfortable as it was something new to him. He took the drive better than my cats did!

Sturdy little cage
This little cage has come in handy when rescuing injured birds in my back yard. The most recent used included temporarily housing a young Cardinal who flew into my deck’s railing and fell unconscious on the ground. I kept him in this cage for a few until he recovered consciousness and was able to fly away

Very sturdy, open airy space for 1or 2 young budgies or similar small size birds. This is perfect for a short journey home from the pet shop- at least 2 or 3 times bigger than the travel boxes they give you in pet shop. I put mine in a large shopping bag to protect them from the wind outside but they still had plenty of air from the top, 100% better than using the shop boxes! Will also be good for short trips to the vets etc
