I can’t confidently say I’ve seen a dramatic change, but the cats absolutely love these, and that counts for something.You get a ton in the container. At roughly one chew per 10 pounds of cat, this will last a very long time in most households. Even here, with several cats, it’s not something we’ll run through quickly.They’re crunchy on the outside, softer in the middle, and the salmon flavor seems appealing. I haven’t had anyone turn their nose up at them, which is rare. Even if they end up being more “supportive treat” than miracle gut fix, the cats see them as a treat, and that makes daily use easy.If you’re looking for an affordable probiotic option that cats will actually eat without a fight, this is one to keep on hand.

Our two cats LOVE these treats. I am incredibly picky pet mom. Generally, I heavily scrutinize every treat, shampoo, herbal tincture, vitamin, salve, toy material, bedding material, or anything else with which they come in contact. We are, primarily, a holistic/herbal/homeopathic/natural household when it comes to our pets (us too, but I am way more strict when it comes to the four of them.) These okkobi treats completely passed the test for me. I cannot believe it but I finally came across a treat that does NOT contain glycerin, hooray!!! In case you are wondering why that makes me so excited, it is because too much glycerin can cause digestive and stomach upset in pets, including diarrhea and other pooping problems.I think the sticker on the container we received is incorrect, because on the top and side it says “salmon flavor” but there is no mention whatsoever of salmon in the ingredients list and the first ingredient is chicken, and these do not smell fishy at all. They smell mildly of chicken.Since currently I am holding this treat container, my cat is literally sitting on the chair next to me, pawing at my leg and snagging my pajama pants trying to get me to give him one. He is exactly like a dog and LOVES his treats, these included. The ingredient list is quiet impressive. Here are a few explanations of some of the ingredients and why they are so great for our pets:- Pumpkin is fantastic for digestive health and to firm up jelly-like loose stools;- Brewers yeast is wonderful for skin and coat health, and the high content of B vitamins helps to deter fleas and ticks once it gets into the skin and blood circulatory systems;- Cranberry is great for proper urinary function and kidney support;- Egg yolks are full of protein and vitamins that are essential for brain health and proper nerve function;- Yucca is FANTASTIC for inflammation and for combating arthritis;- Deep sea fish oil offer omega-3 and -6 support;- Chicken liver powder is packed with protein, vitamins A & B, iron, zinc, and essential taurine;- Chinese yam is great for improving digestion, regulating blood sugar, boosting immunity, and providing antioxidants;- Beef tallow is an amazing non-inflammatory fat source that is full of vitamins and will support healthy skin and coat;- Spirulina helps with immune support, offer antioxidants, and improve fur coat health;- The rosemary extract listed at the end of the inactive ingredients is used as a natural preservative, along with the Dl-Alpha-Tocopherol (vitamin E) which is useful to protect the other fats and oils in the formulation from going rancid.The only ingredient that I wish these did not contain is the wheat flour, as I do not think wheat flour is very good for cats or dogs to be eating.Please note that in tiny writing on the top lid, it says, “Refrigerate after opening.” This is probably so they will not go rancid due to the oils and live probiotics in them.Overall, these get 5 stars from this picky pet mom, and our two kitties both say they are catisfied, too.

Proper salmon smell, not one of those suspicious “maybe fish, maybe cardboard” situations. These soft probiotic cat chews are a good bite-size, easy to crunch, and I accepted them immediately without needing them hidden in food, which should tell you everything about palatability.Apparently these are meant as a daily cat probiotic supplement to support digestion and general tummy health. I cannot comment on the science, but I can confirm I continue to demand them, which is the more important clinical outcome.One amusing note: the label says to keep the tub out of reach of children and animals. Considering it is literally a container of salmon cat treats, I assume this is legal language for “hide this from the cat or there will be consequences.” Sensible advice, honestly.Overall verdict: if your staff are looking for salmon probiotic chews for cats that are easy to give, smell appealing, and come in a durable storage tub, these pass the Gin Quality Control Department.Would eat again. For one cat, that would last almost two months, though with our three cats it’s closer to two weeks’ worth of treats.I’ve bought similar wafer-style cat treats before and haven’t noticed any particular side effects or standout health benefits. At the tine if order the tub retailed at £15.99, while the current price is £5.99. I think this is a much mire reasonable price and goid value for money.
