WASTE OF MONEY!
I got these for an older cat who had some tartar buildup at his last vet visit and two 1 year old cats who need to start a dental maintenance routine. It seemed like a good option over brushing or water additives. But these chews are terrible! None of the cats will eat them. I don’t know if it’s because the chews are are too hard or too big for their liking or what. This was a total waste of money and, at least for me, can only be returned to a Wholefoods store which there are none anywhere nearby.

Actually work for cats too
After taking my cat to the vet they said she had some plaque build up on her teeth. I immediately wanted to try these treats and after about a week I no longer see any build up. The treats are on the larger side but my cat had no trouble eating it. I was very surprised that they worked so fast and still give my cat a few a week to keep up her mouth hygiene.

My cat did not like this. It was too hard and she kept spitting it out. Too bad, she had no problems with the chews that this item replaced. I will have to seek an alternative product.

The Flavor is so Abhorrent Cats Hate Them
I’m giving it a 2 because truthfully I have no idea how effective these are or if they’re good quality. They were somewhat crushed when they arrived, but that wasn’t the problem. The problem is that my cat found them so abhorrent he recoiled, and even when I tried to have wet food with them…he specifically, purposefully ate around them. I then gave the treats to my sister with four cats to see if any of them would like them since they were so expensive. Every. Single. One. Spit them out and wouldn’t try again. So, if nothing else, maybe having apple cider vinegar as the first ingredient maybe wasn’t the right choice.

Initial thoughts- these are a little dry and crumbly. Smell sorta like beef or veggie stock youd make soup with, but not quite the same? They are kinda big, so i had to break one up for my girl to eat it, luckily she liked them and ate one right away. They look fine and dont smell off, container is sealed with a safety seal and is an easy twist off lid. Had no issues opening. They were a little bit messy as they got little crumbs all over when i broke it up to feed my girl. If these actually work, then i think the price is worth it. These vs a high vet bill for a teeth cleaning, ill take these any day.Will update later when they’ve had time to do their job.

not worth it.. why is rosemary in this?? not safe food/herb for cats
It had rosemary extract in it.. no wonder my cats won’t touch these, rosemary is not safe for cats to eat/breathe in. Wish I had seen that detail in the product description!! These are very very soft tiny pellets.. smell kind of like a dentist office.. poor cats not an enticing aroma at all. Since Rosemary is no good for cats, I can’t offer it to any others.. so into the trash these go. Also, what’s the”non animal natural flavoring”? I trust my cats to know what’s good for them. They took a sniff and turned their heads politely. These are definitely not eatable.

Great option for cats that don’t like to chew
I’ve tried MANY dental treats for my cat who doesn’t like to chew. She will swallow food and treats whole…except for this brand! Since this treat is too large to swallow, it forces her to chew. She also has some teeth sensitivity (she’s about 10 yrs old), but these chews are the softest cat dental treats I’ve found on the market. She loves them AND she chews them! It’s a win-win.EDIT: These treats can dry out with some time, but if you just sprinkle some water (a tiny amount) back into the jar to soften up the remainder of the dental chews, they do get softer again. Also, we found out our cat is likely 15 years old (not 10) and with less teeth than a younger cat, she can still chew these dental treats. I will note though, she is also majorly food motivated!

My Cats Rejected These
The cat soft chews were really too large. I tried cutting them in half to make them easier for my cats to eat. I have 2 cats, and after each cat tried one, they have refused any others. Just the smell of them sends my cats running. I then tried the salmon flavored scoopable bites. Unlike the soft crews, which came in a plastic jar, these arrived in envelope packaging. Unfortunately, they also shipped in an envelope, and instead of arriving as “bites”, they arrived as crumbles. I was able to find a few bites in the package, which unlike the soft chews, were appropriately sized. But my cats rejected these also. They each tried one, then have totally rejected any more.I have tried Greenies Dental Treats also, but they contain wheat, and causes one of my cats to puke. So I’m still looking for something for my cats dental health.

One of my cats will eat it, as he eats anything. The other cat will eat it if I break it up and put it in her regular food.I cannot be certain that it works.
