How Do I Convert My Bird to Scenic Bird Food Pellets?
Daily: Always provide fresh water, fruits, and vegetables in a separate dish.
Days 1 – 3: Introduce Scenic in a separate cup away from the old food. Expect your bird to nibble at Scenic in small portions as it gets used to seeing and interacting with it.
Days 3 – 7: Observe your bird’s daily intake. After a few days of progress, start reducing the amount of the old food to about half.
Days 7 – 10: When you are positive that your bird is eating Scenic, reduce the old food to little or nothing. Then, follow our standard protocol.

Although our foods are a complete diet and can be fed alone, adding fruits and vegetables provides variety and interest for your bird.

Great healthy pellet food for pet parrots
I have 2 macaws that are very picky eaters. They throw more food than they eat. This is comparable to Higgins parrot sticks which my birds love. Cost is similar as well to other pellet foods. Well worth the money for the nutrition they receive.

SO HARD A HAMMER COULDN’T BREAK THEM …
These were so hard that my darling birds couldn’t eat them. So, I put them in a plastic bag and tried to break them up with a hammer! They did not break even using my hammer. How on earth were my birds supposed to eat them. To top that off, I was told that I could not return them or get a refund. Even with the Amazon advertisement said that I could return them and get a refund. I don’t have money to throw away like that! Great product and excellent customer service!
I can’t say enough about this company and their products. I’ve been buying their food for my birds for almost 20 years now. It’s very high quality and they are very picky about what they put in it. I buy for my “normal” birds, their jungle mix. I also have a brain damaged parrot who cannot and does not know how to eat on his own. I’ve been using the Scenic brand for him for 17 years and he is thriving and loves it. However, during the pandemic. Scenic, along with everyone else, was unable to get the proper ingredients for his food and for my other birds’ food. I was at a loss for about a year until production resumed again. During that time I was forced to use other brands and none of my birds were happy about it. Especially my poor little handicapped guy. He didn’t like the other brands and they were very hard for me to use. So it was a struggle to keep his weight up. Finally, everyone is happy now that they get their favorite food and mama is happy because my little guy is stable and doing very well.I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the outstanding customer service. During the pandemic when production was interrupted, their customer service rep did everything she could to help me locate this food from vendors around the country. She worked with me throughout the entire shutdown and was extra helpful and responsive.I’m just so happy I can buy their food again.
