This is the best cat toy you can buy. Every cat I’ve had loves it. It’s sturdy, fun, and your cat will play with it independently for hours. Worth every penny and then some! It’s especially awesome for playful and rambunctious kittens. Keeps them thoroughly entertained. This toy is engaging, durable, and easy to use. The toy is slightly noisy when it runs, but its overall value and functionality outweigh that component, and cats seem to like the noise it makes. It’s easy to store. I highly recommend this toy for any cat owner!

Cats Absolutely Love It! But…
This is definitely worth the buy; I bought two. We have a four month old kitten that has a lot of energy to get out and an eight year-old cat that needs exercise, so I got two because I knew that if the kitten was playing with it, then the cat would not. Great quality, easy to set up for immediate playtime, only needed three AA batteries, 4 settings: Slow, Med, Fast, and Random (fast with more stop and reverse💜), and it turns off after a little while to reserve the battery life! I’ve had mine for about a week and the cats haven’t torn up the fabric that they claw at to play. My ONLY nitpick is that the motor is a little louder than I thought it would be – slightly annoying, but taking into consideration that my husband and I live in a small house, work full-time jobs with two kids, two cats and a dog at home. We were not expecting the added noise, so take the nitpick with a grain a salt. 🙂 My 8 and 10 year old also find it entertaining to watch the cats play with this, so that naturally decreases screen time lol My 2 year old niece does well with it too so it’s super safe around toddlers 🙂 Although the toy may not be safe from your toddler 🤣

Excellent interactive toy!!
This toy keeps my 10-week-old kitten entertained endlessly! Kittens that age are extremely active and learning how to develop their instinctive hunting skills. This toy is absolutely perfect. It even caught the attention of my 10-year-old senior cat, who will mostly watch but occasionally gets in there to paw at it. That in itself is an accomplishment. I’ve read other reviews that complain about the battery usage, but whatever. It’s worth it to me to see my kitten leaping around and playing, and my senior cat focusing on something other than food and sleep. I also want to add that I bought the cheaper version of this toy (also by Smarty Kat), and let’s just say you get what you pay for. This product is SO superior to that one! Go for the good stuff right away! I highly recommend this toy, especially for kitten parents who need to keep up with those active furry babies!

Great fun for busy cat owners with short battery life
It’s really nice and keeps your cat occupied, but batteries don’t last long with this toy at all. My cat was entertained for 4+ hours the first time I brought it out!However, that was the longest it’s ever stayed on and since then I can only get a few minutes from it.I recommend a USB-rechargeable one instead.

I bought this in November and have changed the batteries at least 4 times already!
I would give this product zero stars but my cats love it so much that I have to commend the makers on making a really fun product for the kitties, however, it dies all the time! I have changed the batteries at least 4 times since November. And no, it’s not my batteries. They are new Duracells. I bought this because a similar toy that we had broke. We had the old toy at least 13 years, and in that entire time I may have changed the batteries once! I bought another electronic toy around the same time as this, and I still haven’t changed the batteries on that. I know they don’t make products these days like they used to, but come on, 4 battery changes in 5 months is ridiculous! I should have returned it in the return period, but as I mentioned my cats just love it so much.🤦♀️

Cat enjoys it for short periods
Holds up well to cat biting. Still making chitter noise after several months. I had the predecessor to this toy, same exact toy but a different animal and fabric print. It was my cat’s favorite. He carried it around, ran around all night with it like a mouse, picked it up in his own anx played with it every day. The noise finally died so I bought this one and he’s just not as interested for some reason.

great independent playtime toy
cat loves it to no end, the random speed is the best part & batteries last quite longer than expected. auto-off time is a little longer than it needs to be but better that way than for it to be shorter. does have one minor design flaw -the internal controller that spins the arm is a small rubber band spanning across a few plastic cogs. after sitting for a while & cats holding the arm while playing with it, eventually it will dry out & snap from the tension. straightforward to replace it but awkward to have to do & find the same sized band
