Good Quality Nail Clippers
Great quality nail clippers, easy to use, and comfortable grip. Have used on our large and small dogs with no issues.

Nice
Wasn’t sure if these clippers would work for my bearded dragon, but they are surprisingly precise! The safety guard makes it easy to trim without worrying about cutting too deep, and the nail file is perfect for smoothing the edges. Sturdy, easy to handle, and now my beardie’s claws are perfectly maintained—definitely a 5-star find

Great item had a great price
These work great but you got to keep something around the handle because the rubber lid won’t stay on. I think they should have made a snap-on cap or something because the rubber cap won’t last it’ll be lost.

Works great! More heavy duty than I thought it would be. Awesome!!

Best nail clippers
Very easy and simple cat didn’t see notice what I was doing

Cap/cover physically cannot stay on
These work for cutting dog nails. They got that down pat. But I was under the impression that the cap/cover thing would stay on for storage and whatnot. But it doesn’t. Since the clippers default to being wide open, the cap won’t fit let alone stay on. My bad I suppose.

Works really well
Really easy to use even for smaller dogs, didn’t hurt your hand. The only downside is that there’s nothing to catch the clippings, still worked great though!

Do not buy
Terrible clippers, not sharp at all. Cuts more from pressure than sharpness which caused my dogs nail to bleed. Not an even cut at all look at the picture. Do not recommend these, just take your dog to the vet. terrible product

Product: Swihauk Heavy Duty Dog Nail Clippers and Trimmers, Professional Pet Nail Clippers for Dogs & Cats with Nail File, Cat Claw Clippers with Safety Guard to Prevent Over-cutting, PinkDelivered: Dec 9 2025Location: YYC_____The nail clipper appears to be well made with high quality materials. The total length of the nail clipper is about 16 cm total length The blade is made from stainless steel and measures:• 0.3 cm thick• 2.0 cm diameter,• 2.4 cm lengthThe handle is molded plastic with silicone insert for comfort using heavy spring actuation. The handle measures:• 1.5 cm thick• 6.5 cm closed width• 11.2 cm open width• 13.5 cm lengthGiven the thickness of the blade and the resulting distance to the nail guard, this clipper is much better suited for use on a medium to large dog as indicated in the Seller’s description Bork Bork and Bella are small dogs, each weighing less than 17 pounds, and caution is exercised when using the clipper even with the use of the nail guard to ensure their wicks are not clipped. The clipper is very sharp and easily slices through Bork Bork and Bella’s nails. Innovative feature to include a nail file that friction fits into the plastic handle. Once their nails are clipped, a quick wipe down of the blade with isopropyl alcohol is done, and the accompanying silicone cap is placed on the blade to keep the clipper closed for storage.Absolutely great value for the $10 (+tax) price. Similar clippers at various pet stores sell for over $25. Recommend as a great Buy if you have a medium to large dog.The 🤩 GOOD• Sharp blade• Comfortable grips• Well made with high quality materials• Nail file included and stored in clipper’s handleThe 👺 BAD• Blade thickness not suitable for small dog

Nobody likes clipping their dog’s nails, least of all your dog. It’s stressful for all involved. But a well-designed set of nail clippers will make the task much less onerous and easier to do.It is crucial to dog health that nails be maintained, and you owe it to your furry friend to maintain their pet pedicure. :-)The SWIHAUK clippers are sharp, trimming my corgi’s thick nails cleanly and with no splitting. There is a built-in guide that keeps you from cutting too deeply and damaging the quick. But, as carpenters say, “measure twice, cut once. A visual check will ensure the safety guard is the correct depth for your pet. I think this would not work well on a tiny dog, as the depth is non-adjustable.A nail file is included to buff out any sharp edges, tho in my use I found the clippers cut cleanly and smoothly, and no touch-up was needed. I appreciated that the file can be stored in the handle, making it hard for me to misplace. :-)The handles are rubber-coated for a secure grip and to cushion your hand. The handles are wide enough that you can apply serious power to the blades, ensuring a swift, smooth cut.The clippers come with a silicon cap that protects the blades (and also protects you from stabbing yourself when you are digging through a closet, wondering where you put your clippers.) :-)While my corgi and I will never look forward to cutting his nails, the SWIHAUK nail clippers make this essential task less stressful for all involved. They are a bargain at less than the cost of a bag of those expensive duck meat treats I distract my dog with when I clip his nails.

I got these since my old ones broke and my corgis nails were getting pretty long, my dog has naturally very thick nails and I am not the strongest so I usually always have to struggle while also holing him down (he doesn’t like it). But I used these very easily and cut his nails with in minutes. They have a nice grip so they don’t keep sliding out of your hands, also the handles are pretty big (you don’t want it sliding and cut too much,) and the blade part was very sharp so it cut the nails very quickly. The indicator also makes it easy to see where the blade is going to cut the nail so I don’t end up cutting to much so I don’t have to cut little bits at a time I can just cut up to where I want right away. I like how after cutting nails you can actually have access to the nail clippers which are hidden right in the handle, the file isn’t the best that I have used, but it works decently well, and makes it easier to use right after. I’m not sure these clippers would work for cats since this definitely feels and works like heavy duty. Overall I would say these are heavy duty and that they work really well for dogs.

I just used this product on my female hunting hound’s rear pawpaws the other day. I like this product for a variety of reasons: the handle is well-designed (ergonomically-shaped) and provides excellent control of the clippers when in the hands ofthe operator. There is a “length guard” (my term) that will prevent the operator from carelessly over-trimming the nail and possibly cutting to the quick which will draw blood and will be a painful and somewhat traumatic event for your dog.You are repeating this task per dog I think it’s 16 times per full trimming session for all four paws, and making a careless cut is possible in this repetitive process without this excellent guard that I call a length guard that prevents you from getting overly-ambitious with your cuts.Manufacturer SWIHAUK also conveniently provides a small-format abrasive file to allow you to precisely remove any rough edges and protrusions that remain after the nail clipper has done its work. It’s inevitable that you will have roughness with a given nail that requires added filing attention, or possibly even all of the nails that you have trimmed will require some additional hand-filing, and taking the time with the file is a great benefit to your dog as he or she will eventually use their paws to start scratching at their ears, etc. and unless you smooth down the extremely sharp remains of a freshly cut nail, they may actually injure themselves. Also, if your dog likes to get cosy with you on the couch or bed, walking on top of you with freshly-clipped nails that haven’t been filed might be a bit of an unpleasant experience for the dog owner!Without having a dedicated pair of dog nail clippers close at hand, good luck on this very necessary operation. There is no substitute for a pair of dependable dog nail clippers, and to neglect this task at home is to invite discomfort and even pain for your dog as, especially in winter when they are running on hard-packed snow and not abrasive gravel and sand and earth (which does a basic job of keeping the nails shorter), one absolutely has to attend to this routine task at least several times throughout the winter months and of course the warm seasons too.I would recommend buying two or three of these units and station them different obvious areas throughout your home so you’re not wasting any time looking for the dog nail clippers when action is required. The average cost to have your dogs’ nails trimmed at the vet is $25 here in Ontario, so being able to do it yourself at home is a definite cost savings over time. With my male hunting dog, I did notice last week that his nails were fairly delaminated with what I would call hangnails remaining after my trimming process, so in this instance I had to resort to my own human nail care tools and select a very precise “nipper” tool to expertly cut back the somewhat shredded nails that were showing this irregular delamination. I think this is just a function of luck of the draw that the occasional nail doesn’t cut as cleanly as you would like it, and it makes sense to inspect your work carefully and take the necessary additional filing or “nippering” measures to finish the job to your satisfaction. Your dog will thank you for the added attention, and they like it when we fuss over them anyways and do a pro job! This is a recommended tool that I use and appreciate!

I keep a few things here for when my daughter comes to visit with her dog so she doesn’t have to pack everything for a short trip. I picked these up to have on hand for nail trims. She’s the one who used them and said they feel really solid, not flimsy at all. She even mentioned they feel sturdy enough to be her main pair. She liked how cleanly they cut, but did say she would have preferred a built in lock instead of just the silicone cover. Her concern was that the cover could get misplaced. Other than that, she had no complaints. They seem like a good, dependable set to keep around.
