Saving TONS by doing this at home
These cutters definitely pay for themselves fast, especially with how fast my girl’s nails grow! I may have a slightly easier time with them since I’ve worked with dogs on and off for a decade, but they’re very straightforward, as long as you aren’t nervous + have a basic understanding of how your pet’s anatomy works. Granted, if you’re capable of making your dog sit still long enough to use, these are a quick and easy way of trimming a dog’s nails. I will say it takes a little bit of effort to cut through each nail, but I think they’re definitely worth buying as a budget option. I’ll also give it some slack, with a dog’s nails being pretty solid, but they definitely cut quick and easy if you have better grip strength (and bigger hands) than I do. The safety guide is also very useful, and my only small gripe being that you have to make sure the previous nail hasn’t gotten wedged between the guide and the blades. Be prepared for them to otherwise go flying across the floor!

Easy for big dogs too
My dog is too smart. He’s a rescue, but obviously knew what this was and took off running around the house like a maniac. After bribing him with cheese and rubbing his belly before and after each snip, the job got done with ease, pain-free. He whined and moaned the whole time, but only because he was being a brat, no pain at all and happy happy knew he was looking good when we were done.For reference, Boudreaux is a 95 lb, 8 year old Shepweiler who thinks he’s a lapdog.
