The updated controller (new version) now comes with a screen backlight for better visibility. The old and new versions will be shipped randomly.
Press and hold the “OFF/FEED” button, the display shows “Fd10” and the wave pump stops working to facilitate fish feeding.
After 10 minutes, the wave pump will resume operation.
If you need to exit the feeding mode during feeding, press and hold the “OFF/FEED” button.
Long press the “Wi-Le/NIGHT” button to achieve day and night waves.
When the controller is in a dark environment, the wave pump will automatically switches to constant wave mode with minimum flow rate, allowing your fish and corals to rest. When the controller is in a bright environment, the wave pump will automatically revert to the previously set mode.
No wire connection is required, and the wave pumps can be linked and operate simultaneously.
Master control: Press “Wi-Le/NIGHT” button once, “Master” icon will light up, enter master control, master control controller can operate all functions.
Slave-control: Press “Wi-Le/NIGHT” button twice, “Slave” icon will light up, enter the Slave-control, the sub-control controller can only adjust the flow rate, other operations are invalid.

I do love this wavemaker! It works great and I love the different settings. However, you can hear it running a quiet room.

Powerful powerhead without the noise!
Great option for moving water in the tank. Unit has two independent sides, so you can angle the flow in two directions. Unit moves a lot of water, but the flow is gentle and spread out. DC power lets you run from 30-100%. 30-50% is basically silent, after that there is a noticeable hum, but it is easily lost in the background noise (overflow drain, skimmer, etc.). Night and day difference compared to the buzzy noise of AC pumps. I ordered two units from different sources, and one is backlit (from Amazon), and the other is not.

PLEASE DO NOT BUYThis wave maker is trash. Believe me, I understand how this “could” be the perfect wave maker for your reef tank. This is not it. I’ve ordered two of these (one was a replacement) both have the same error code Er04. Both have this same code after minutes of use – straight out of the box. If you’re in the reef hobby – you understand you have to DIY some things. I’m a handy person – this hobby forces you to be. I’ve taken the pump apart many times and the error remains. As this happened twice in a row, I beg you all not to buy this plastic trash. I hardly write reviews, I was compelled to write this one. Hygger makes great heaters but I will never purchase a pump from them again and neither should you.

Flow perfect for a 60 long minimum
Great gyre. I had a maxspec in my 120 and needed one for my small tank. This gyre works great just too much flow for my situation. Tank is smaller than 60gal so if you want one for half that it just doesn’t adjust enough to slow lower than 396gph.

Screen malfunction
I bought two of these for my 100 gallon reef tank. They both work perfectly, however one of the controllers screens doesn’t light up at all and the text is very dim, This doesn’t really affect its performance at all but it is somewhat frustrating to need to pull out a flashlight under the stand to change settings or look for the ‘feed’ button every day to feed the fish. I wish they sold just the replacement controller with screen. I don’t plan on replacing it as it still works great though.

Need Better Flow? Get This!
This this is powerful, gives my tank that ocean like quality when it comes to the flow in the tank. Super simple to set up and its pretty affordable. I enjoy it in my 55 gallon saltwater aquarium and it keeps my corals happy and healthy in regards to tank flow!

I purchased 3 of these for a 36″ x 24″ x 8″ deep frag tank (SPS). PERFECT! I’m currently using 2 but may add the third as things grow and current gets restricted. Really great little pumps for the money.

Makes a lot of noise like it is struggling to work correctly. Was not as powerful as I wanted it to be. Would not recommend for a 220 gallon tank.

I purchased this wavemaker for my 90 gal tropheus tank . The wavemaker arrived on time and in good quality. Have had it set up and running now for 2 months . This unit works great ,easy set up with several control modes. With proper settings the unit keeps the tank substrate clear on debris . Also keeps the tropheus occupied and reduces aggressions . Lots of water flow, quiet operation, no suction cups to fail ,and hides well in the tank .

Do not buy. “New” wave maker keeps getting Error 4: (blocked pump).I bought a Hygger wave maker (HG070-12V) and instantly regretted my decision as soon as I turned the wave maker on.Upon connecting the power, the pump will attempt to run for a few seconds. Shortly after, it will unfailingly stop with an error message that the wave maker is blocked.The bad part about all of this is that after spending all of you time installing the controller into your wall, you’re going to have to take it out again for return.In my case, I superglued the controller to my wall. That means it’s impossible to return the product without having the back of the controller smothered by super glue.Amazon customer service is also non-existent.
