Thick and effective mat
This is a very good litter box mat. It’s a nice size that compromises between fitting into the small spaces we often put the cat’s litter box in while also providing good coverage for messy kitties. My cat likes to build a mound of litter up by the door of her litter box. Subsequently, she’ll then scatter it outside the box as she exits. If I don’t get to it in time, she will sometimes decide that the litter outside the box is just as good to use as inside. This is a cat that needs a mat like this. Even when I placed the mat just next to the litter box without setting it on it, this mat did a great job of catching the litter that was kicked out of the door. The lip on the mat held it in place and the texture of the mat keeps it from scattering off the mat when the cat runs through it. Fortunately, I got to this pile of litter in time, so there was no use outside of the box, but were she to pee on the mat, the mat is waterproof and it would not flow onto the floor. It is super easy to clean with the smooth silicone material, and it should hold up well. It’s thick and will not catch or tear, even if it’s pulled out from under a table leg or something. The gray is a neutral color, and the pattern of the mat gives it a little more of a decorative touch than some mats. It doesn’t look bad on the floor. This is a less expensive mat than others I’ve tried, but it’s better quality and well designed, so well worth it.

The Mat That Saved My Floors (and My Marriage)
I have four cats, and let me tell you, they make a heck of a mess. Total tornadoes. So, when I spotted this mat, I was like, “Okay, we’re trying this.” My old one. Pathetic. More like a glorified coaster than an actual mat. Like, cool, thanks for the *suggestion*, but my cats laugh in the face of subtlety. This one is plenty big at 40″ × 28″, and it catches everything. Besides the size, I really love the raised edge; it keeps all the litter contained instead of letting it escape and start a new life elsewhere in the house. The silicone is really pliable, so you can just bend it and dump everything right back into the litter box like a pro.It’s also stupid easy to clean, just drag it outside, hose it down, and boom, done. When my wife tells me to deal with the litter mat, I don’t even groan because, honestly. Easiest chore ever. She’s stuck with the actual litter box (gross), and I get this thing. Fair trade. Since it’s silicone, it doesn’t hold onto smells or stains, which is clutch. It feels like it could survive a nuclear war, too. Probably outlast at least two of my cats’ dramatic phases, honestly.When it comes down to it, this mat just makes the whole litter situation feel a little less chaotic. It keeps most of the mess in one place, it doesn’t smell weird, and cleaning it is basically a non-event; you just rinse it off and move on with your day, and you’ll still see a few stray pieces of litter here and there, but it definitely cuts down on the mess in a way you actually notice. If you’re tired of flimsy mats that get gross fast, this one feels like a solid, no drama upgrade that quietly does its job. Honestly, it’s the most reliable thing in the whole litter setup.

We have a hoarde of cats in our home with 2 litterbox rooms composed of 3 litter robots and 2 stainless steel litter boxes due to a couple stubborn kittens.We cannot seem to keep the litter from scattering around despite other mats. When I saw this and the size 48×28, I snatched it up. I put it in the most used room alongside the other mats. It covered a very decent amount of space and filled in where the cats leap out.I really like this pad. It has no malodors, it stays in place, and it has a raised lip. It is also fairly light to pick up and shake out. It also is far, far cheaper than some of the fancier mats that are half the size.This mat also is an easy clean to wipe up any residues. The holed mats I have are a pain to clean and moist residue as it gets in the holes. This mat is also a nice thickness and quality that I do not see it tearing or piercing due to kitty claws. I also have to note the mat arrives folded but lays flat without creases!!! A big plus as all the other mats Ive received needed ironing to lay flat. It is also a nice neutral color, and has great traction/pattern to catch loose litter. Functionally it does a perfect job. I will note we use corn based litter that is low dust and smaller granule based.I for sure recommend this for homes with messy kitties!
