Great Value, Fish Love It
Good price, fish love it. I thought I’d give this a try for my 60+ outdoor goldfish. They are varying sizes and I needed something on the smaller size. This works great and they love it.

Perfect for smaller pond game fish
I use a mix of this and some larger pellets (top floater fish food) to feed my fathead minnows, bluegill and striped bass in my ~2 acre pond. These pellets are a little small for the adult blue gill, but perfect for the fatheads on the bluegill and bass fry. The top floater pellets are larger so typically the adult bluegill eat these. The fish swarm whenever I feed them (1/day) with an added bonus that the bass have caught on to this and sweep in for a meal of bluegill or fathead themselves. Another bonus (or detriment) is that my ducks love these too, and will float around following me as I feed the fish. I would give it 5 stars across the board except the price is a bit high. Hard to find floating pellets of this size though so there you go. There is the usual powder at the bottom of the bag that you get with any pellets, but I did not find it to be excessive. The ingredients list is pretty good and contains a decent amount of protein derived from actual animals (in some form or another). My pond is thriving after using this for a year. I would estimate I have 400-600 fish in the pond, and I started with 6 of each kind apiece, 1 year ago. Due to the population size, I don’t worry about predators as there are more than enough fish to go around.

My fish LOVE this food. I had been using a different brand prior to this and when I started feeding my fish the Blue Ridge I noticed they are very active and excited when I feed them. The varied sizes work well for fish of differ size ad age.

My koi love it
It’s convenient in the bucket, but it’s still just a bit overpriced in my opinion, but my fish seem to love it. It does make an oily film on the top of my pond and I don’t know why. As I started reading reviews just now I see that other people experience the same issue with the oily film.

Give it a couple days
Hey everyone! Thanks for checking out my review for this blue ridge fish food 🐠 🐟. I went searching for my usual flake fish food on Amazon when I came across this brand I had never bought before. The price was great for the amount of food you get but I had always used the flake food, never the pellets for my outdoor pond full of goldfish. Nevertheless I put in my order and awaited the delivery. The food got to my house and I immediately went and fed my fish. Much to my dismay, they came over to the pellets but wouldn’t eat it! It was definitely upsetting because I didn’t have any of their old food. The next day I went out and put some more in, less this time. A couple of them nibbled some pellets but still, they were generally not excited for it. I don’t know what happened but on the third day of feeding them, all of a sudden they all came like a frenzy and ate every single pellet, I even threw in some more which they promptly finished as well. Ever since that third day my fish come flying over to the section of the pond I feed them regardless of the time and regardless if they ate 20 minutes ago. Theyve become crazed by this food! They can’t get enough of it! Another thing is I’ve noticed my fish getting BIG! Keep in mind they’re just goldfish, but I started feeding them this food a month ago and they’re getting big, strong, and healthy! I never noticed their growth before with the flake food, but I’m actually seeing it happen now with this food. My advice to everyone would be give it a few days. If your fish don’t seem interested, just try for a few more days. Mine didn’t seem like they liked it but 3 days later they’re like pigs at feeding time, swarming this food!
